I just recently did a speed run for ProKop/Jimmy for The Peace Keepers/Rushing Beat Shura. While the run can be viewed on YouTube, I noticed the leaderboard has none for Prokop/Jimmy and Al/Kythring. I want to put in a request for Al and Prokop categories for the leaderboard if possible.
I can't say for sure. I would say whatever works best.
Well, the arcade version would be the choice, there was Johnny Turbo's arcade version for the Switch a while back but I think they removed it.
You can find that info on "New speedrunner asking tips." thread.
I would check the other message about the Critical Hit system; Hoover has found out that the last four digits of your score affect when you land critical hits. It's best to check it out.
Interesting. I did not know that. That also mean manipulating the score is going to be crucial in future speedruns. Thanks Hoover!
If you see the Word SMASH or CRUSH when attacking, it's a critical hit, allowing runners to deal more damage. However, it's RNG-based and as far as I know, there's no way to manipulate it. It just comes down to luck.
One thing to keep in mind is that the extra damage is random. So if you see SMASH or CRUSH when attacking enemies, a critical hit was delivered, meaning more damage. As far as I know, there's no way to manipulate critical hits
I second this, as Prokop/Jimmy is going to be my first character to run for this game. Please add Prokop/Jimmy and Al/Kythring.
I just submitted a time for Any% Glitchless of 46:23, but because of the load time requested, I put in 00:04.88 instead. This is not correct, and it should've been 46:23. This was also played on a Nintendo Switch on the Castlevania Anniversary Collection.
As you all know by now, Twitch has announced a new rule in regards to Highlights that will go into effect on April 19th. The new rule imposes a 100-hour limit for Highlight storage and affects Highlights and uploads; it does not affect Clips and past VODs.
If you have uploaded speed runs to SRC with Twitch Highlights, I would strongly recommend exporting current runs to your computer or on a YouTube channel should you have it. If you wish to keep obsoleted runs, export those as well, otherwise delete the ones you don't wish to keep.
Most of my runs were from highlights, I'll be sure to have them exported to YouTube. Thankfully, most of my guides are uploaded to YouTube.
You have two months to get them exported before Twitch decides to delete the ones with the lowest views. Let's preserve those runs!

Most of my runs and guides have been highlighted, so I'll ensure they are exported to YouTube. Thankfully, most of the guides I've made for Rival Turf and other games have been exported already.

Bad news. I did try to make myself a mod for the board, but it was turned down. Also, Sm_Izumi, one of the mods for the board, has replied to the message I sent him and he gave his reasons for not making a board for the same character runs. For starters, it's considered cheating and second, there are not enough runners on this board to open up new boards, which means more mods than runners. That's just some of the stuff he replied but I'll leave it at that and respect his decision and call. My apologies.
I can see to it. Thank you for the suggestions!
Though I've been moderating this board for some years now, I sadly don't have the time for it... I'll continue to mod the board but I will need some help for those periods when I'm not available.
If you're interested in helping out with run submissions, rules, etc, feel free to leave a post here or DM me and I'll have you instated as a mod.
The recent submission has turbo being used. Upon discovering that whoever was the last mod for this board didn't set up rules it's become obvious some things will need to be fixed going forward.
I'll be setting the standard rules for all runners for this board as to when to start and end time. Also, I'll be creating a new board for those who want to use turbo. Expect these changes to occur in the next few days. Any suggestions are also welcomed.
Well done! Not many people run Expert mode, even on Coop! You earn this WR!
Here's a run I did just recently. Sadly, I didn't show proof of it being on default settings so it'll need to be checked before submitting or not. As I said before, The Cowabunga Collection has a dedicated special button that couldn't be unassigned and it kind of screws up using the actual buttons for the attack.
