United StatesI'm learning how to do any% as my first Ocarina of Time speedrun. Right now I'm learning how to do GIM in Deku Tree. When I try to do dive cancle I hear both the C-Up sound and Link diving. When I cancle C-Up to start swimming to the vines, Link suddenly surfaces from the vines. I've tried pause buffering to make sure I press A and C-Up on the same frame and this still happens. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
I just submitted a ScareScraper run to be a new leaderboard, so I was hoping that any mods would aprove of it. I noticed that there is already a category extensions board for this game, but i feel scarescraper would be great as its own leaderboard
It'd be nice if there was a survival mode category. 3 lives. Default rules. 1 character. Mario and Luigi are banned. This could be for any level pack. If this is added, I 100% will run it.
I would also like to be the moderator of this leader board.
I know it's areally dumb question, but is it possible to get more than 7 magic beans? Like from RBA or something. I'm just curious.
Why in OoT 100% do you not need to get Epona, the prize cow, or dungeon items, (Compass, Map, Boss Key)? It seems weird to me, especially considering in MM you need to get all the dungeon items for 100%, (although I know next to nothing about MM so I could be wrong, and there could be a in-game reason). If someone could explain this to me that'd be awesome.
I've always wanted to learn how to speedrun OoT with tutorials that are in depth. So if anyone knows of one link it below.
SSB "All unlockables" seems like the coolest category, yet no one runs it. Is it because it's to long, or hard to do optimally?
I know RBAing the Broken Giants Knife, giving you both medallions was the very old Any% route, but I like how it shows off RBA, is longer and shows off more of the game. If anyone agrees with me, has a good idea for what the category should be called, or have an idea for adding other categories let me know; I'd love to hear your thoughts.
