Yeah, base console has lower than 60 fps so knife only will take way more slashes, you are simply not doing enough damage because of the frames. When you watch PC runners at 120fps they just can knife G3 to death quite easily but on console it is way more dangerous as we cannot stun-lock him and if we get greedy he can just slap us across the room. On console we have to do BOTH phases, first set of eyes, then red eyes, then the final phase where you want the quick knife kill before he goes to pull the door off the wall (which you will need to practice optimal slashes to get it before he pulls the door if you want the fastest fight) You won't ever see him pull the door off in PC runs as he is almost always already dead by that point. I ran Claire A knife only and its absolutely aids on console because of the fps, but on PC 120 it's just ez mode slash to win.

Last time I did glitched runs a few months back, I had uninstalled and reinstalled fresh and just did not allow the updates to download, voila good to go ^.^

I used to use Type A and toggle but have found recent success with Type C and Hold so I can get easier sprint boost after cutscenes etc like PC players use with Shift Boost

So this game got shut down on EU servers over here in September last year (Hence why I was not able to run anything else from it) However! I recently made an NA account and have it on PC now so once I have had a big grind session and got to a high level then I am going to run (and in some cases re-run) a lot of these dungeons and whatnot! So watch this space!

(I am also trying to develop tech when I get time too, like for example I did timed runs of Onigashima stairs with running and bunny hopping in places to see if there were any boosts or anything I could find similar to RE2R stair skating for example. Will post about anything useful I find in the coming weeks) ~

Might be a silly question but I wanted to double-check just in case. I'm currently playing on the unpatched ps4 version to mess with out of bounds stuff for fun. However, I was wondering if I went and did a CAS run and got a PB, would it be legit on the unpatched ver? or do I have to update it before doing runs etc? Many thanks :)

Ohhh this has piqued my interest (Cosmic you may or may not remember we spoke at length regarding my VOD mute of Mission 5 Geryon boss fight a few months back ) which is still on my channel lol that whole situation kinda put me off running the game if twitch was going to cuck me (and seemingly only me?) but now I have seen this I think I will get back into the game and learn the run fully!

yeah as these guys said and as I showed you in my clip, when you gain control of Claire, wait 1/2 secs, shoot the floor and DO NOT MOVE until the dust settles, if you move sooner the call will go off and it's back to the gas station you go lol

Hi everyone! So I just wanted some clarification and some advice to be honest. I'm an OG DMC player, new speedrunner. I was just wondering if everyone does the M3 oob skip before Artemis and if I HAVE to learn it or can I just continue glitchless? I checked a few of the runs on here and most people seem to use that strat? I ask because I kinda wanna run it properly without glitches and skips etc, just vanilla speedrun but still NG+ which is already nooby af as it is I know lol ( not like I'm gonna be that great at it anyways but I just don't like glitches that much)
