Yes, not sure if the game is playable on xbox though, I could add that to the platform list if it is. If you play with a controller plugged into a PC you can just submit it to PC though (I believe there's already 1 run with controller verified somewhere too)
If you manage to win with it yes, although I'm unsure if I would allow that type of laugh clip as of yet as the update that made it possible (https://devforum.roblox.com/t/upcoming-optimization-to-collision-detection-system-beta-test-on-mac-clients-soon/885336/196) might be reverted in the future if other bugs are found with it (like it has before)
If a teleport between universes fails then getting back to that teleport should only count towards the time with loads I believe
Personally I don't count ladderflicks as glitches (while wallhopping is). But if the community wants it to count as a glitch to seperate it I wouldn't mind.
Personally thinking about just creating a sub category for glitched runs when needed. Using a variable and just having all runs in the same category could also be an option. (Uses glitches Yes/No)
There was recently a run submitted that uses a cornerglitch to skip a part of a floor to finish the map faster (currently sitting in verification cause I'm not sure what to do with it yet)
so my question to the community would be:
Should there be a category added for runs that include glitches (Clipping through walls, corner glitches, dance clips, wallhops)?
If yes would adding a whole new category or making a sub category for every map (that benefits from glitches) be the best option?
If no glitched runs wouldn't be displayed on the leaderboard in any form and any runs submitted using them would be denied.
another option might be to just turn the current category into any% and allow both glitchless and glitched runs in the same category.
feel free to discuss and share your opinions in this thread, any and all voices are appreciated.
Yeah I'll get to verifying the runs today hopefully, personally I would prefer disallowing gears as not everyone would have access to them, although I guess creating a subcategory for it would be another way. What are your thoughts on gears?
I added the map so you can submit it to there now, alternatively it would be possible to just dm me the video link in the future
Yeah, there is no full game leaderboard however it would be possible to make one for completing X maps or completing all maps. (both categories would be heavily rng dependent though and would probably need a subcategory for choosing maps). I'm also pretty sure the game plays half the maps in a random order then the other half of the maps in a random order so if you complete all the maps in a row you might be able to do them all? Unsure how exactly it works though. Might consider it if people actually run it though.
Will probably just be archived like the old Nintendo Network map
Might consider splitting it into default/RB Battles/RB Battles pre-nerf if runs get submitted with the nerfed version of the map.
Due to the update to the map Retro Wave, I've decided to split the map into two sub-categories, the default map version and the RB Battles version. This is due to the versions being vastly different. https://www.speedrun.com/tcr/Retro_Wave#Glitchless
The Randomized Map and a few others aren't up on the level leaderboard as they boil down to either just luck or multiplayer.
you could try recording using a phone or something else as long as the video shows the whole game and is of decent enough quality to where you can see what's going on
