Hello to new players that would participate in speedrunning this game, here is three things that will help you before running.

• Join the discord : https://discord.com/invite/cx4UMFC

• Download the .exe file that is located here : https://www.speedrun.com/skullface/resources It will reduce lag and perfomences drop that comes from your browser. You'll need to start your game over again tho.

• Enter your time correctly in the post format. The game acts weirdly so I'll explain a bit. When you get a time with only 1 digit after the dots (like 12:3) it means you got a time of 12 seconds and 3 hundreth. Yes, your time is actually a 12:03 instead of a 12:30. Then when posting your time, be careful as the current Speedrun.com format uses "ms". That means you'll need to convert your time of 12:03 into 12s 030ms.

Just wanna say two things. The little hole in The Garden is actually reachable from above and will unlock to you a life portal.

Second thing is that I'm tryharding from the main path to the black waterfall to reach the white waterfall which could save a huge amount of time.

Hello people ! I recently played infernium and I loved it. I was curious to see the current speedrun here but unfortunaly the WR (white fountain) video is not available. I could watch the 2nd best time tho.

I would like to start routing the game soon and try finding new skips and eventually making a new route. Is there things I need to know that could help me ?

On a side note, when I got into The Garden I saw there was an hidden path (under the edge when going close to the sun) with a hole at the end of it. Looks like you can come from this way but do you know where ?

@TBA_thebestaro Back in years there was a little group of 4/5 people that were sharing their times together. I started playing the game when they stopped. I used their best times when I talked with Awein999 (he does have a youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/awein999/videos) and I can see his name on speedrun.com through the research bar (his other name is aweinstock).

I didnt find all the strats you see in my videos by myself, almost all of them comes from his channel. But I did found about the trick for level 12 :D (which i'm really proud of)

I would like to make even better times if I go back into the game honestly. Some of those times have room for improvement and I feel like tryharding a little bit :p

Those time are registered in my spreadsheet as a reference to beat.

I did the game spiritsless on Easy at 100%, I would use Ganondorf and his Ult when ennemies where not on stage to spike them a 0%. Yeah, the ganon's Ult spike with its sword (before doing the dash) if there is no ground below. So I aimed at getting double final smash and faster recovery in the skill tree.

Triple jump can help a lot to stall while in air to use chrom, Ike and Kirby UpB. Having the move speed and attack damage boost at 0% is a good thing against bosses. I think you'll need to take "wind counter" too, some stages are impossible without it.

Create the routing for such a category will take a long time, I'm happy to help any time.

Great Idea. About the patch issue, I think the best for everyone would be to play on the current one (1.09 ?). Not much player are doing the coop speedrun so we should stick with the current patch.

1 year ago I was rounting the coop speedrun but the motivation of my friend and mine kinda fell off. I was doing it pretty seriously, unfortunaly I didn't record much of my work. (Most of it is wrote somewhere on my computer or in my head). %% is a category to those who wants to finish the game with whatever the % they want. It can be 15, 100 or 37 I don't know.

We could have a great diversity of routing depending of the % you would go.

Timing begins when selecting "Start" on a new file and ends when you shoot out of the electric wire in the escape sequence. Use of First Moon Skip, Amiibo, 2P, and Assist Mode is banned.

Sorry. It was a 19:45~19:50 run. I chocked once again :(

I died on a quite easy part on 4-4, it was THE run. First try 3-3, only one death overall.

Thanks man :D I've found the menu quit 2 days ago, it can saves ~2sec at every execution + 12sec skip on 3-4. (42sec overall).

The miss marble skip was hard but I wanted to do it. The only thing that i'm not happy with is the end. I should avoid doing the skip and focus more on the rest. I won't play the game during all my life, I will try to get a better result. The skip only saves 5 sec, if you miss one time you lose 6ses.

I've even firgured out on how to make an autosplit between levels. Unfortunely I can't do it for starting and stopping the timer automatically but that's still make a good comparison between levels.

I have made a formula which takes the amout of medals you can get divided by time it takes to finish but all of this was wrong. I ended with a bad route. The route I use now can go ~21:30 (for a perfect run), sub 22 is definitly possible.

I did 3 attempts with this new route and I got 23:27. (I did 3-3 first try, a bit lucky) My upload connection speed is very low so I won't upload any video until I get the sub 22. I know this time is possible it will just take me some attempts, I can achieve this during the week.

If you're curious about the route this is medals per levels I get : 8,5,4,4,4 / 5,8,4,4,4 / 8,4,4,6,4 / 4,4,5,8,8 It's almost the same route, I just complete level 2-2 and 4-5 minus medals you get on 2-1 and 3-4

Edit : Some route optimizations later, I will now decide to do the 2-5 skip which change the route by a bit. God time is now ~21:15

I've done the route, now I need to train. This is the first time I will play with LiveSplits, that's a good day :D

Edit : Ok I did a little prediction about what time could be the best with result I've got during the route preparation and sub 22 seems not possible. Maybe the god run but yeah...;
