I'm guessing this is a new file? I'm not familiar with new file speedruns, but, in Joeypal's WR, he presses the quit button as soon as he gets to the tutorials. Your method would probably only save a couple seconds, assuming it skipped the tutorials entirely.
My main concern with a pacifist run is it might not be that different from a normal run? KI:U has a lot of segments where you're required to kill enemies. Outside of those, it's generally a good idea to run around enemies (it often wastes time to kill them unless they're directly in your way)
okay! I need to go to sleep, but I'mma check out that discord in the morning - thanks!
Yo! I've been running this game off and on for the past few months, and I'm curious about some things:
-
Keirin has an internal timer, so how come there isn't a leaderboard for it? Granted, the times would be pretty close together (just over 13 seconds, if I remember correctly), but is there any other reason?
-
How come there isn't an IL category for all the weightlifting events? There's just the one event, but all the other groups of events have IL categories.
-
Are there any consistent standards for what qualifies as completing an event? In my runs of the different groups of events, I'll usually pause and switch to the next event if I see a "Finished!" but not if there's a "Game Set!" or anything else.
Thanks in advance (and hopefully none of this sounds rude - I'm pretty happy with the way everything's set up so far, I'm just not sure if my runs could be faster/if there could be more runs to do)!
Seriously you have no idea how happy I am that people still play this game. It was my first experience with chess in my childhood (back when I was pretending I was any good at chess), and this is legit amazing. I have no idea where the disc is, but I'm honestly tempted to do speedruns haha.
