So is NTSC 100% assumed to be without any wrong warps? I was glitching around boss rooms and realized that it would make for a cool route for 100%. I watched the WR and saw PDG didn't do any wrong warps. Are they banned? And if so, would a 100% category with wrong warps allowed be an interesting category for you guys? Slack and I discussed it for a bit and he said it would make for an interesting route, so I'm asking y'all's opinion. I might give the run a shot as a demo run if there's some interest around that category

HUGE DISCOVERY!

If you've watched any Rygar TAS, you probably saw that in the 2nd screen, they screenwrap to get to the overworld faster (saves about 7 seconds from what I've seen) by pressing B every other frame to slowly glide to the bottom of the screen. This version of the trick is obviously not RTA viable, but I managed to find a setup that not only is RTA viable, but also saves 6 seconds if done perfectly, tho on average, you most likely will save between 1.5 and 4 seconds.

Here's the setup: You get over the pit right under the door and hold Down. From that point on, you need to repeat a very specific set of inputs: You let go of Down, 3 or 4 frames later (it's a 2 frames window) press B and Down on the same frame. This will make Rygar drop down 1 pixel. Then release B and then release Down (they have to be at least 1 frame apart). Repeat this over and over until Rygar's feet touch the bottom of the screen (1 pixel away works but I prefer to use the bottom of the screen as a visual cue). The mash is usually at around 550 BPM if done optimally. For the final part, you want to release Down and 3 or 4 frames later, do B,nothing,B,nothing,B, which looks hard but using 3 fingers (like I did in the video linked below) makes it viable. You can also just go a few pixels more down and then do B once instead of 3 times, but I find it easier to do those 3 presses and the visual cue is better. I don't have a controller to test it out but I doubt it's any different if you use it like a keyboard. I can't guarantee it being viable if you use your thumbs to play, unless you're Arcus or TheRetroRunner and you can mash Down and B super quickly lol.

I know very few people care about PAL but I just tested a new strat for the Ligar fight. After grinding and getting the stats required to kill him, using your mind points to restore and then tanking every hit Ligar gives seems to be faster by about 4 seconds. It makes the fight a bit more RNG but it's really manageable, you'll have to dodge AT MOST 1 hit. Getting those points is also RNG, but after trying multiple times, I never got a grind that didn't give enough points.

That being said, does the game have a Discord dedicated to it? The game is fairly ran and I've seen games with like 5 runners having a Discord so it kinda seems odd this one doesn't

I was scrolling through my profile and I saw a lot of my classic co-op 0.0 WR were beaten. Earlier today a thought hit me: man, I have a 2 years old Twitch highlight where we beat a lot of our WRs and some of the runs could beat current WRs. So I go watch the whole thing and saw that indeed, some of our runs beat the current speedrun.com WRs. The problem is: I can't highlight the runs since the vod is so old and also there is no date on the vod, meaning I don't know when were they performed exactly (it only says "2 years ago" and on my phone it's apparently a year ago lol). My idea was to record the Twitch vod with OBS then crop the runs I needed, then post them with a date around early April 2020 since I believe this is when the stream occured. Would that be a good idea or even allowed?

Ok so, this is a weird question and you need a bit of context. I don't really enjoy running Any% anymore, but I know my PB is trash and I'm way better than a 5:02.984. I decided to beat my PB using a Guitar Hero guitar. My question is: if I end up beating my PB, am I allowed to submit it or it will be rejected because of the use of a dumb controller? I don't want to spend hours on this for nothing
