I would myself much rather play on my console and record it externally with my phone or something. Nothing wrong with emulators, but if I have a console I'm going to use it. With that said - it's quite easy to make sure phone recordings are properly visible with some lights and a stable tripod etc, and if you go that far you might as well go pick up your decent camera or order a cheap capture card :)

Hey!

When you're falling downwards and only press Down on the D-Pad+B for Pogo you won't take any damage and will hit the boss the first available frame when they get out of their iframes.

The key is not pressing any other directions on the D-Pad and being in a downwards movement. It's a bit tricky at first, but super helpful and good when you get the hang of it.

This was my second ESA event and even though I didn't think it was possible, this year was even better than last year! Thanks everyone for organizing. Already looking forward to ESA Summer 2020. <3

• The location is amazing. Super easy to get to and the hotel is great. Superb wifi and everybody loves ice cream and popcorn. Also loads of good restaurants close by.

• Everyone organizing, including volunteers, were super nice and friendly. Loved the 24 hour info desk.

• The separate arcade room was a great addition. More of everything please. But please put the rhythm games and the other games like pinball far away from each other.

• Really nice to see Stream 2 get more attention. Made me actually remember to watch a few of the runs on that stream.

• The schedule this year was perfect for me. Managed to catch everything I wanted to see (i.e. the NES blocks) and still get proper sleep in between runs.

• I didn’t participate in any tournaments but the speedgaming addition was awesome. Would love to see this again next year. Props to feasel, he worked A LOT and did a great job.

• Now with a little bit less space for practice/regular gaming it quickly became a bit unorganized. Would be cool if groups of people (like the NES crew) could sign up to get some dedicated and more organized space in the upcoming events. With signups it would be easier to allocate more appropriate space for each "clique".

• It would be nice with some kind of info poster/leaflet with information about opening hours of restaurants and pharmacies etc. in the area. Perhaps including a map.

• The bar closing at 11pm was a big disappointment. We were usually hanging out there when we were a big crew and wanted to take a break from the stream room. With a 24/7 event I'd expect them to keep it open at least a little bit longer some of the days.

This kind of feel like a question about accessibility. Not everyone can get a hold of a NTSC console or people might not be able to have the proper setup to play on emu etc.

Considering there are other categories with barely any runs in them I don't see why PAL, which is in-fact quite a popular version casually, would not be included. With that said though, not sure if it should be added as a separate category or just included in the main category under "Platform" since the PAL runs will never be in the top of the leaderboard anyway.

Would find it a bit weird to combine Easy and Difficult into one board when it in fact differs a bit (taking extra damage on bosses etc.) when not looking at the top runs, but not allowing PAL at all.

Just checked out the video and the amiga version looks like a lot of fun. Good job on the run!

I agree that adding a new category for the amiga version would be the best. Seems like they are very different. Hopefully one of the mods will see this thread soon and add it. :)

I'd say below 2:35, or 2:30 even, should be enough. I think the ms will be mostly useful for future wr fights since we're getting closer and closer to the "optimal" rng, at least with these strats. With new runners or more wr attempts, times below 2:35 will be losing placements on the leaderboard. Just my 2c.

Hello! I've been grinding this game more than what is healthy and I just tied Yogi's world record. The thing is that Yogi is still about 0.5 faster so I was wondering if we can add tenth of a second to the leaderboard?

I'm determined to continue the grind and hope to get a 2:29 in the coming days, but it might be useful for upcoming wr wars. :)

So, I was wondering. Did anyone do any experiments choosing any of the other heroes than Cedric? Yogi mentions that the leadership is "probably" good for the battles, but is this confirmed?

I guess I'll try it out for a bit, but was just wondering how much you have experimented in this game already.
