Thanks everyone. I'll get in touch with a moderator. The final guide is already written: https://github.com/NearW/minecraft-speedrun/blob/main/README.md
Cheers o/
Can I do this by myself or does a moderator need some text for the guide provided by me? I'd go into more detail with some more examples in this guide then.
Hello everyone,
I've been working on a script, that will help you to setup a speedrun server. It will automatically restart the server on /stop, create a new world and disable auto-save to prevent the 5 min lag. This script also provides some additional optional functionality to load set seeds or load datapacks automatically (this might be useful when doing speedrun battles).
You can find the 3 files required here: https://github.com/NearW/minecraft-speedrun/releases/latest and a manual here https://github.com/NearW/minecraft-speedrun
Disclaimer: This is not supposed to be an advertisement. I just hope that this might help some people out there setting up a server.
Theoretically you can check for the stronghold at the beginning from an island spawn, travel in that direction already and locate some villages on the way.
I don't think people would cheat on a co-op run, but I think that the category is not as competitive as it could be without some more rule enforcement.
When doing a Co-Op Run, the person who is not recording can easily use commands in chat without it being displayed to the OP, who is recording the run. Basically the other person could type /locate Stronghold and share the coordinates in voice.
Why is there no rules that everyone participating in a co-op run (or at least for duo and trio) has to submit a video proof?
