So shall we open a separate thread and have a vote on this instead of going back and forth which accomplishes nothing?
The one condition should be you need a run on the board for a vote to count (to avoid people using their platform to sway it the way they want)
And a simple yes or no, split 60/120 or not?
I agree with this leaderboard proposal but I feel like unlocked & MG would be better as misc categories since it probably wouldn't be popular in comparison to 60 and 120. If it did become active which is highly unlikely then I'd say it deserves a spot outside of misc
Doesn't matter if some people have been running knife only since launch. That's the risk you take when you plan to submit but rules haven't been defined. But just think about it, the argument is to use the GUN in low% / knife only. Regardless if you use it to shoot bullets or not you're still using a gun to save time.
It's same few people complaining everytime I come on this damn site, you've been told countless times to wait it out and see how shit plays out, that doesn't mean a few hours or a day later you make ANOTHER thread saying the same shit as the last one. WE HEAR YOU wait until the hype dies down so we can see what the actual demand is for this. We're not making hasty decisions and separating them at this time. Literally the only person I've seen say 60 FPS is a meme is you. PLEASE just go and enjoy the game.

By that logic though we should separate all consoles too, I play base PS4 and I can't compete with a PS4 Pro or even an Xbox one X (which has the highest frame rate out of all consoles)
Plenty more examples in other games where stuff isn't split because there's no need for it
By default a slower run on the same platform should not be showcased as a WR, I'm sorry it just shouldn't.

60/variable FPS would be better as a variable instead of a sub category honestly, if they really have to be tracked separately that's the only way that makes sense to me
Personally I think the board looks terrible, additional categories to please everyone is ok in the short term but long term it's just creating multiple dead categories.
Also like it or not New Game+ is a main category and it has been for a long time in RE so it 100% should be represented on the main board like it was originally.
I don't agree with this at all so if this is how it's gonna be I will gladly step down as a moderator and have no part in it.

Original RE2 is just under an hour real time and it's the most popular RE speedrun
i suggested 120 originally with a talk amongst mods before we moved this to the forums but was told 120 isn't possible to set, i don't have the game on PC atm so i couldn't verify this myself. But now it seems like more people want 60, but i agree 120 would be better

It's impossible to lock the game at 120 unless a 3rd party program is used

I'd also suggest that anyone running No Major Glitches should enable the FPS counter in steam.
Using variable frame rate is fair game tbh, lowering the resolution to make the game look absolute shit on the other hand is dumb
The chances of it being patched are slim, this was a thing in RE7 too
Segmented runs aren't really made to be competitive anyway, They're literally a show case of what an optimized single segment run would look like
