Well you're not banned as far as I can tell. I'm going to switch out the main invite link.
Hey, that will take a little more time to set up but should be coming around soon.
Hey, I've added Accident 32 and Reduction. As for Jacob's Rest, that one won't be added since the 2010 original version is superior for speedruns. In the AS:RD one almost all tricks were either patched out or made impossible with invisible walls.
Mod Message: Additional time starts at 3052.000 and ends at 3736.017 at 60 fps to get a missing time of 0h 11m 24s added to the load removed time.
Mod Message: Time starts at 144.433 and ends at 4768.667 at 60 fps to get a final time of 1h 17m 04s
Adding PS5 isn't a problem. The auto splitter is only available for PC. You could manually remove loads but it is not a requirement for console runs.
Please check your audio settings in your recording software, it is set way too low.
The run is certainly possible as can be seen here: https://www.speedrun.com/soma/run/y2508n9y
Some specific tricks may have been patched by the developers.
Which is the main reason why the Steam version is pretty much the best one to run on (also because there is a speedrun patch by the developers).
Hey, this is a great suggestion.
It will be added to the rules as soon as possible.
Hey, I've discussed it with another moderator and will try to put up a community vote in the Discord soon to check wether there's interest in such a category.
That's stepping into the realm of modding/third party programs which are generally not allowed. Although there is some room for discussion still since communities can decide to allow such tools.
But right now it would be a futile endeavour as everyone is waiting for the next large update which is supposed to hit soonTM. Recently a presskit was leaked which had info on that update and it included a few new bros too. Alongside code changes which will likely impact your programs functionality (which is also why there currently is no LiveSplit ASL support for Broforce) it might be better to hold off.
You could of course test out if this is even possible.
Hello @Opax
yes, generally if there isn't a category with rules for new campaigns you can use the ones found for the older campaigns.
They all state the same:
You are allowed to use all glitches, skips and out of bounds areas to complete levels quicker.
To add to the post from @lachszunge we also are in update hell with Broforce right now.
The dev studio behind the game have actually made another big update to the game but it's stuck at the company that does the porting (they changed their entire dev staff) and another problem lies with the production of the physical cartridge for the Switch version.
And if such an update would hit any work on autosplitting would likely be invalidated plus we can't tell if Free Lives make any changes to the story mode either.
That's sadly what we have to deal with right now.
Well that's not wrong at all. Both of those are major glitches.
I guess something along the lines of "No Major Glitches" would be a more suitable category name in this case.
Would have to discuss what counts towards being a major glitch since a few other glitches are no longer in use after the Minigun Flight was found (i.e. pig flying).
Hey, that is the fastest way to complete the game in Any% currently.
As far as Glitchless is concerned Low% is probably a good start.
For Glitchless Any% it's a bit complicated because would that mean players have to unlock all bros available or just a few (the current Any% is faster if you don't unlock all of them), would pig flying be considered a glitch or clipping into the moving fortress?
