Shots Fired is an online speedrunning marathon exclusively for shooter games. This will be our sixth marathon.
[big]What counts as a shooter game?[/big]
- If it has a gun, it is a shooter game. This includes FPS, TPS, and 2D games.
- If enemies have a gun, it will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- If it is an alternative shooter such as a camera game, it will be considered on a case-by-case basis. However, more conventional shooters will be given priority.
You can submit any game you want, whether or not it meets these criteria. In the end, we'll decide whether or not it meets the theme of the marathon.

- Cuts: June 25

We will be doing submissions through speedrun.com. You can submit by clicking "Submit game" on the left of this page.
There is no limit on how many games or categories you can submit. Submissions will require a video of yours so that we can verify that your estimate is reasonable.
Runs in the marathon will require English commentary. Commentary does not have to be done by you,

Thanks for the offer but we already have enough moderators. The only mods are people who have been involved in the marathon, I've known for a long time, and trust.

Yes, runs will need to have English commentary. This could be done by someone other than yourself.
Communication from us will be in English, but it's pretty small - all we do after submissions is ask for availability, give instructions for how to stream, and tell you when you're live.

Hi, I'm looking to add a marathon called Shots Fired: Overkill.
Shots Fired is an online speedrunning marathon which happens twice a year. It is a marathon exclusively for shooter games. We feature First Person Shooters, Third Person Shooters, 2D Shooters, and some more unorthodox shooters. Currently, we do not support a charity. To date we have had four events.
Shots Fired: Overkill will take place November 15-19 with the option of beginning as early as the 12th depending on the number of submissions. Submissions are planned for September 15 - October 20.
