Hi - I wanted to post here since I couldn't find anything about it in the rules.
In the game itself, there's an option to set Simulation Speed to Fast (Click Game > Simulation Speed > Select the speed from the drop down menu) which only changes the speed of the red line going across the map - it makes progress significantly faster.
I can't tell from the runs already posted here what simulation speed your game is set to. Would I be allowed to keep my Simulation Speed at Fast or would it be preferable to keep my game's speed at Medium?
I have a run I'd like to post which has the Fast simulation speed which gets to the Rogue River Valley in under 3 minutes, so I thought I'd let you know and ask in case it appeared that I had an unfair advantage.
Edit: I see that in the leaderboards for Oregon Trail: 5th Edition, which is based on OT2, there's sub categories for whether the game is played on normal or fast speed. Ultimately it's the mod's decision what's to be done for this game.
Recently I merged the leaderboards of all 3 Openbound parts into one game, however even as Super Mod of the series, I can't delete parts 2 and 3. Apparently this is something I have to request of a site mod, so could you please delete these two pages? Thanks a lot!
I know I should probably join the Discord and be asking this, but I don't know if the Discord is still going or not and I'm too nervous to check.
I'm playing version 1.5 and run the Glitchless category, and can use the space bar to speed through the narration on the screen, but this method doesn't seem to work with the conversations with Jude and with Xefros.
Is there a way to make those chat logs go quicker, or is it really down to how fast I can click?
