One option would be to run splits on a separate device. I personally use an app on my iPhone for splits while running the game on PC. Downside is you can’t have the splits on the recording, if that’s something you want.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker comes to mind. It has some interesting routing where the two players need to go after different gems, which allow you to reach later levels faster.

This type of thing is better done as a challenge run than a speedrun.
As Lando told you, contact a moderator of the Pac-Man series to have the game added.
Cool idea. I don’t regularly use discord, but if you announce the monthly game on this thread, I could see if I’m interested.
You could make a YouTube channel (it’s free). Or you could have the videos hosted elsewhere. As long as they’re publicly viewable and permanent it would probably be fine.
Usually it’s allowed. I see you also posted in the GTA V forum, so they will be able to tell you if it’s allowed for that game specifically.
For trimming video, I’ve had no issue with the basic windows editor. Could you be more specific about what you’re looking for?
