So figuring out a consistent way of generating lag seems to be the key. Anyone know a good way?
Its done upon entry, so theoretically you could skip all the way from sector 1 to sector 8. In the video I entered sector 6, got some lag when opening the jump menu which opened the next sector screen and was able to immediately jump to sector 7
Found this glitch awhile ago but didn't have footage until today, I believe it to be done by opening jump on the first frame after closing the enter sector pop up, which obviously the lag assists. I'm going to continue trying to recreate this in live runs, hope to get it consistent
Since the Torch and Trophy update makes it so reaching the last inn is an official end to a run without clearing a lair, I'm thinking that three distinct sub-categories are reasonable
Any%: Reach the last inn True Ending: Kill the Chapter Boss All Bosses: Clear out each lair
He is certainly a challenge as he'll only sustain 3 deaths. Pretty sure he has less mana as well which puts quite a burden on ending fights quickly
Updated the Any% category to no longer include "1 Loop" as loops are no longer a part of the game. Changed All Heroes to only include healers, feel free to petition for filters if you wish to include all heroes as well. Updated All Heroes and 100% to include timing start and finish. Added Any%+ category for the New Adventure+ game mode, as well as individual level runs for each area as certain parties may be better suited to a level
I guess to elaborate on room skips, they are easiest in the Dungeon and the Sewer, and it is actually possible to skip bosses. I've done it to the Roll Troll before, but the boss rewards are very good for upgrading heroes so they may not be optimal depending on what equipment you pick up
I'm looking to make a guide for any and all speed tech, such as party, healer, spells, equipment, movement, etc.
No problem! I’m happy there’s a bit more interest in the game. Being the only other runner at the moment, I’d happily mod you if you’re willing, you’d just need to enable email verification. Would be nice to start developing resources and guides, maybe fleshing out other categories
