In-game time has been changed as the default timing method. Nothing has changed with its initial release.

Individual levels have been pushed out. Splits and the auto splitter have been updated to accompany the change. They can be located on the resources tab in Sr.com.

This thread is dedicated to reporting any issues with the auto splitter. If the splitter breaks in some way by failing to split, splitting too much, or some other issue please post below a detailed report of it. Please try to include as much info as possible, screenshots are also appreciated.

The final vote for individual levels is being voted on today and will end tonight.

Individual levels for Exoddus are coming and we need a vote on which type of format we should implement.

The 4 choices below are the ones that people chose to be pushed forward from #srcom-discussion

Please react with the letter below for the section that you want. Explanations will be posted with each letter. Only ONE VOTE PER PERSON

D ) All ILs consist of their entire level based on the .lvl file they're found in except for br.lvl (brewery) which is broken down into Hubs 1 2 3. Load points are used in Necrum and FeeCo in order to keep the endpoints of every IL as their true endpoints by which you permanently leave the area.

E ) All ILs consist of their level based on the .lvl file they're found in except for br.lvl (brewery) which is broken down into Hubs 1 2 3. The ILs that cannot be completed in one visit will be considered completed as soon as you reach the start of another IL.

H ) All ILs consist of their entire level based on the .lvl file they're found in except for br.lvl (brewery) which is broken down into Hubs 1 2 3. The 'boiler' lvl is also combined with hub III No-load points are used in this so the ILs that cannot be completed in one visit will be considered completed as soon as you reach the start of another IL.

I ) Same as H but the FeeCo IL runs from the start of FeeCo to the entry to Main Lobby. Barracks, Bonewerkz, Exec. Office and SS Hub 1 all begin at Main Lobby.

So, we need to talk about the autosplitter. Some people want the auto splitter to not skip any time from the cutscenes, some people don't mind, and this is leaving everything on hold as we don't even know if we are ready to implement the IGT as main timing method for Exoddus. That's why I wanna include a few options, so you can vote for them.

  1. Exclude the cinematics from the loadless time (the way it is), but punish runners that PURPOSEDLY leaves the cinematic playing taking advantage of this feature (by adding the time spent during the entire cinematic to the loadless time). Moderators will have to do this manually and this is a viable option that we can implement.
  2. Exclude the loading time of the cinematic (the unskippable part where the cinematic plays for like 1 second or so) but include the rest of the time to loadless time. Sadly, we can't do this manually, and the autosplitter doesn't know how to detect this situation (for now), so it won't be implemented until we know how to 100% detect this.
  3. Include all the time from every cinematic on the game (long and small / transition cinematics) to the loadless time. Sadly, we can't do this manually, and the autosplitter doesn't know how to detect this situation (for now), so it won't be implemented until we know how to 100% detect this.
  4. Other (specify what and we will add it here).

We will make this vote as the majority, as probably not everyone will agree with the same option and every option is valid. Please react accordingly to the number you want (my vote doesn't count so I can startup the numbers). Hello Exoddus runners.

In the past week @LegnaX and I have been working on Oddysee individual levels. Now that they are implemented we will be moving to Exoddus.

@fknMirky has made a graph going over each decision that people in the community have suggested. An official vote will be happening either today or tomorrow based on the top 4 from this graph.

A ) All enders are separate from the rest of the levels. Load points are used in Necrum and FeeCo in order to keep the end points of every IL as their true end points by which you permanently leave the area.

The ILs that cannot be completed in one visit will be considered completed as soon as you reach the start of another IL (eg. enter Mudanchee well, enter Barracks train, arrive at Exec Office (note: the exact start of exec. office is yet to be determined).

C ) All ILs consist of their entire level based on the .lvl file they're found in except for br.lvl (brewery) which is broken down into Hubs 1 2 3. There is an additional 'SoulStorm Brewery' IL which means that every 'realm' in the game can be ran in its entirety. Load points are used in Necrum and FeeCo in order to keep the endpoints of every IL as their true end points by which you permanently leave the area.

I apologize for the inconvenience that these votes have caused over the last few days. We are trying to keep everything as fair as possible and hear as many voices as possible when it comes to this situation.

So, as it stands we have a split in the community over how IL's should be changed. This will be the final vote (Hopefully) for how they are modified. We want to satisfy everyone that will partake in the individual levels for both Oddysee and eventually Exoddus.

Currently, we have 4 different options for IL's and feedback would be appreciated for each of them

A ) Separate every level in the game, this means keeping literally all levels disconnected. Runs would start from the level select menu (except rupture farms) and end as soon as the player enters the following section.

B ) Keep the major areas separated but keep the similar areas grouped. This includes Paramonia Temple + Nests, Scrabania Temple + Nests, and Zulag 4 + Boardroom (Zulag Nests).

C ) Keep all levels separate and have some sections for merged levels. So, this is somewhat of a mix between options :regional_indicator_a: & :regional_indicator_b: . Each level will be separated but we will merge wanted areas (Paramonia Temple + Nests, Scrabania Temple + Nests, and Zulag 4 + Boardroom (Zulag Nests).

D ) Separate all levels and have sections for merging all major areas of the game. This is the ultimate compromise since both parties get what they want. This would mean that all of Paramonia, Scrabania, and Rupture Farms 2 (all Zulags + Boardroom) would be separated and be merged in different parts.

A new discussion is occurring with individual levels. The community is trying to vote whether we keep temple and nests together and to keep Zulag 4+Boardroom. The discussion is currently split. Updates with further information will come as it unfolds.

The loadless timer has been changed and the implementation date is unknown at this current time. We will keep people updated as to when it will be released.
