DenmarkThis game generally doesn't like particles, and what's causing the crashes is pretty much a particle overload, those two crashes that's been listen are about the most common ones, but you can crash in Haunted Tomb aswell, in the sections where the boulders are falling.
However (as far as I'm aware) this can only happen in 117% speedruns, if you have the last Sparx ability.
Ruleset for all the Spyro games has been updated, and can be found under their respected forum. Remember they're subject to change, should new versions and discoveries be found.

It's always been a "goal" to establish what kind of emulators on what version etc. we would allow. We've only just now gotten around to finalizing it. What really brought it to my attention that this was an issue we had to take care of, was the fact that we allowed every single PSX emulator out on the market, without any proper knowledge on over half them. The only logical solution was to disallow everything but the emulator we have the most knowledge of, and only allow the community-favorite emulator, which was ePSXe.
Considering you're the only person who seems to complain about this (seeing as about everyone who runs on emulator runs ePSXe), and to my knowledge, are the only person running PSXfin. We're not going to allow an emulator for just one person. Seems quite silly to me.
I highly doubt it would be hard for you to change to ePSXe. Plus it's not like we've outright banned you to use this emulator. All that it does is that you won't be able to submit times on the leaderboards with PSXfin, which already has been stated by other people.

Pretty much. Whenever you do runs of 100 egg and 117%, the first level you enter will ALWAYS be on easy-mode. After you've collected a certain amount of eggs and gems (it's barely anything you need to collect) it will activate hardmode. So there's nothing to worry about if the first level you enter is in easy-mode.

You can always do 117% without glitches. It'd just take a much longer time. Doesn't have to be added a new category for it. The rules doesn't specify that you absolutely have to use glitches.
There's honestly no reason at all to ask for this request, as I doubt anyone wants to do it. People who run on emulator run with the settings they've configured themselves, and I doubt they would go out of their way to change settings and all that.
And to be fair, you would get the exact same nostalgic feeling from just watching the people speedrun it, to watching it in 1080p. I doubt you would get any better result for watching runs in 720p.
Also, when the TAS was made, there was alot of problems trying to encode it in 1080p, as the run got out of sync, and lost frames. The same thing could very well happen when being encoded to youtube.
So I think the only way for you to get this accomplished would be by yourself doing it. It's quite a foolish request if you ask me, as no person see no reason ever to record runs of the games in 1080p.

A: As far as I know, this is how the update for that will happen. It's not something we can implement yet though, as the update is still under development from Pac.

A: That is why it was polled as this change happened very abruptly. I do agree that a re-naming of one, if not both categories should be put in place.

There's been a rising "population" in people starting their timer, when they start their movement, not from when movement is possible (which was the way we wanted people to do their timing). This is something I'd like to apologize myself, as the rules for the game's haven't been properly worded.
But I wanted to clarify: It's only allowed to start the timer, when first movement IS POSSIBLE.
Over the next days, we'll be making a very clear and much better worded set of rules for the games, aswell as submissions, timing etc.
That's completely up for people to decide that, Manic-X. Normally people set conditions if they want to or not.

For people who's not noticed it yet; Hitbox's processing has become ALOT faster! This means it will be alot easier to submit videos on here (from Hitbox) without having to wait long for your video to finish processing.

With the "rising" popularity in Enter the Dragonfly 100%, I will now have to require video proof for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. The requirement will become higher, once more times have been submitted.
