The best way to complete marathon isn't just back-to-back tetrises for the whole run. It can be done in 193 lines by burning a double at the end of level 3, a single at the end of level 5, and a double (or 2 singles, costing line clear delay) at the end of level 10.

So the run would go 3 tetrises, a double, 4 tetrises, a single, 18 tetrises, a double, then 22 tetrises. Unfortunately, maintaining b2b in high gravity presents a bit of a challenge, but not an impossible one.

I've clearly been away a while; this unwritten rule seems silly. Why should established players get screenshots accepted instead of videos?

Rules:

• For the first 20 or so rounds, we'll be building normally so we don't waste everybody's time. If you need to call for a tie (see next bullet), do so quickly!

• After that, we'll be tying rounds. Place one block correctly, and don't place anything else. To be safe, stay away from slabs, stairs, and entities. Really really really stay away from double blocks, such as doors, beds, and tall flowers!

• Don't mess around. It's possible to safely build stuff, but prone to failure. Ideally, nobody dies for quite a while.

When?

March 31st. I haven't picked a time; I don't know what time zones we have to manage. Currently, I'm thinking around 11 for the US' east coast; that will be 6pm in Finland after daylight saving time happens.

How long?

If everything goes smoothly, a little bit under 2 hours. Tying a few early rounds will only bump that up by seconds; please do so rather than forcing a reset an hour in. Because of how long this will take, you may wish to do something like bring a snack to your computer.

What map?

Guardian Reef, a new map with plenty of space to not fall off.

What should I do for "Big Boy Track," a build entirely made of slabs?

The safest option would be to place one wooden slab in a correct spot. You could also place two stone slabs on top of each other in a correct spot. Don't place them where there were no slabs or the wrong type of slabs, or place only one stone slab.

The new updates have changed some things, and I'd like to go through every build to see what's up. For instance, "Sticky fingers are the worst..." had 2 different versions, depending on whether or not it was spring. The smiley face build has no name, some builds have multiple names, and more.

This will involve lots of tie boosting, take almost exactly 2 hours, and while it could be done with 2 players, having more is almost a requirement.

How does around 16:00 GMT sound? That's noon EST, and 18:00 in Finland. For the date, I'm free on the 22nd, 28th, and 29th - whatever works for the most people would be my preference.
