GermanyI know how he's doing it and yes he uses macro keys. If you go to your keyboard settings in RE3 you can set a multiple amount of keys to left and right. He binds "left-right to DIC" shown on his overlay, and he also has a different set of keys for example "1-2 bound to left-right" and this key setting is being used with macro keys. That's why when he does puzzles, he is not pressing his DIC key, but the puzzle is being DIC'd That's my theory on how he's doing it.

Nobody is cheating. Exploit, nothing is really done to take advantage over a bug in the game. Getting Nemesis stuck on something is not a bug, since Nemesis can also get stuck on Zombies which was intentional by the game developer. And Abusing AI I don't really get why that's even mentioned, it's done in casual gameplay, proplay and speedruns. ^^
So you're actually saying people have fake copies of re3 and are all taiwanese? That's evidence that taiwanese version is fake and should be taken off the board right away. But if you're saying they purchased Re3 taiwanese and got something else because online is full of fakes, then that just suggests people are getting scammed.
Taiwanese version can be bought. If there is a large group of people in the community that think that all Capcom copyrights on the disc, manual and everything are incorrect. From 1996, to 2000 are listed with contact info for Capcom.

But simply implying something is fake that shows proof of copyrights on the disc, is just butthurt.
These changes make no sense at all. As a speedrunner your goal is to have the fastest time possible at the game, if it's a specific version of the game (Chinese version), then that should be the only version for any speedrunner that wants to get on the leaderboard, right?

I would like to get a "Speedrun Tournament" going for RE3. If the community would like to see one and enough runners join for the tournament, I think it would be an awesome experience.
As for the actual tournament, I had some ideas to make the speedruns a little more competitive no offense @wusscake :D
To mix things up little, I would suggest in the categories being "Any%, Knife Only, Nemesis % and Arrange Any%" RNG is a big factor of the game too, so a single Knock-out elimination bracket would be somewhat unfair. The alternative to that, would be to bring in a "BEST OF SERIES" or a double elimination bracket. But I wouldn´t decide alone on that anyway.
I would also like the tournament to be dedicated for charity. For the runners 50€ prize pool and another 50€ for charity! I hope we can get something going! Let me know what your thoughts are !
PS: Yes the idea was because of the RE2 Community´s Tour, just thought we could also make something happen.

you are not getting a better time. Getting the G Launcher everytime would not effect your time in an actual run since you reset the game when you get the Magnum. All the SRT would serve for is that runners wouldn´t have to constantly reset´when they get the magnum.
"manipulating something to your own advantage" If everdybody has the same advantage you are not "manipulating something to your own advantage" There for not cheating in a sense. DIC and Quickshooting would arguably also be counted as cheating since cheating is also defined as "using non-standard methods to create an advantage or disadvantage beyond normal gameplay"
For me it´s yes. And being a devil´s advocate, isn´t fair for the runners who actively run the game.

Defamation? Ever heard of it? I know that in japan you can be fined for 500k Yen or 3years of imprisonment. Yet you are still doing it. ;) Who´s the criminal now xD?
If the game actually was fake, I would still fall under the law of "fair use" since I have an authentic copy of the game. And that´s only if your accusions are right. xD

BTW: I could also just go and get a pirated japanese version of RE3 does that make the japanese version fake too? Your arguments, are weak. You are no where near world record to where the version difference would make some what of a difference and you have 0 proof that the chinese version is fake. Yet you demand something be done just because you say so? Don´t waste people´s time
