@shoe did you try to contact tehjman1993? he is the one who made the thread. I think the problem is that he just didn't get a notification for the thread (also the fact that mods are no longer able to edit posts so he can't add his [added] note)

if emulators are included in "for PC" then you could try The Little Mermaid. if you want purebreeds, there's You Have To Burn The Rope (even if you don't want to speedrun it, you gotta play it at least once for the awesome music).

well, either the adapter, or the capture card - doubt it's the console or obs that's acting up.

to make sure it's not the capture card - see if all cables are properly in, reinstall drivers, check if it actually gets enough power supplied to it, etc. if it doesn't stop then, it's either defective or the adapter is at fault.

notes are a-ok in every way. you're allowed to use anything that doesn't influence the software or hardware of the game - basically anything that doesn't give you an unfair advantage.

wouldn't that only be possible if the site had an app? other than that you could enable e-mail notifications and do push on your mail app.

the AVerMedia LGP is probably what you want, since it's OS independent, don't really know any that have drivers for mac.

those are guest accounts, they're treated mostly like normal accounts, except you can't see their profile pages. if a name is entered into the player field, and it doesn't match up with an already created account, a guest account is made.

not everyone wants to create a SRC account. :P personally, I'd like to see a "is guest" option for names that might've already been taken, but aren't that person. I usually put ' around the name to enforce it being added as guest.

and like last time, why couldn't you just bump one of the other threads you created? namely this one and this one

should work fine for your purpose - although in the end the most practice (and muscle memory) you'll get from doing the full run anyway.

I'm just saying this thread is a last resort - it wasn't my intention to come off as "dismissive" of your issue. and as I've said, requesting to be added as a moderator as your first thing in your thread 6 weeks ago might've been the reason in him/her not making a move. I'm also not trying to excuse his/her behaviour, I'm just trying to show a possible train of thought the moderator might've had. and heck, s/he might've just turned off notifications on src because the last run was 2 years ago.

@Otonyshi Is the Moderator inactive? nope Are there any runs pending that would require another mod? nope In the end, it's his choice if he wants to open a thread called "mod request" when there's no reason to put another mod in place. try going at 'im w/ just your category request instead of directly asking for higher permissions, chances are he went through the same train of thoughts and dismissed the thread by its title.

if going at it w/ just the category thing fails, you can then try asking a full mod and see if they can reach out to him, a person of authority like @ROMaster2 and @Gyoo is less often ignored.

it still isn't an accurate timing method, so my statement that it should not be used still stands.

should come natural when you say a) stops the timer and b) takes time off of it. doesn't matter if it's intented mechanics, these timers just aren't doing their one job.

VN speedruns are like taking a book, then opening the last page and saying "done". You can't really improve on the maybe... 20 inputs you have to do over the ~10m of just auto-skipping dialogue.

personally, VNs don't even qualify as "games" - they're, as the name suggests, a form of novel, akin to comics or manga.

if you plug the controller into the console, the console powers the controller, can't charge the console in this process. but really, stay away from hori stuff - the splatoon headset they did was so horrible I'll avoid anything they produce.

Pro controller is a must tbh. I can recommend the XC2 one, fits my giant paws perfectly. other than that, get a stand, the integrated one doesn't work on non-flat surfaces. the charging port is on the bottom, so no easy other way of charging while playing on kickstand. /edit: yes, both the console and controller have usb-c - so no cable switching
