I finally found a way to upload my videos correctly. I submitted my runs today. To the moderator, if you happen to be the person verifying my runs, you can ignore the first submission, as I didn't notice the Glitched/Glitchless option when submitting. I simply resubmitted correctly this morning.

I enjoyed speedrunning this game and finding new (hopefully optimal) routes for both categories. There is a small chance I might take the time to make a commentated video of both runs. Appart from that, this should be my last contribution to the speedrunning of this game.

I just achieved the goal I wanted to reach with this game. I did a 1 h 59 min run in the Any% Glitched category, and a 2 h 21 min run in the Any% Glitchless category ! The problem is that I am somehow not able to post the videos on Youtube. Whenever I try, the processing gets stuck at 99 % and I get an error message telling me the video has been rejected.

I googled my problem, but couldn't find any solution that would work.

I tried to post my problem in the Speedrun.com forums and someone told me it could be possible to either put my video on Google Drive and ask a moderator to confirm it for me, or ask a moderator to perhaps upload it on Youtube for me.

Is this something that could be done ? I sure don't want to be a burden here, but any solution to this problem would be welcome.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll ask the moderator of the game to help me with this issue.

What happens is the video gets stuck at 99% processing. A while later, a message appears saying the video has been rejected because it's too long, even though it's shorter than the first one I posted... All the solutions or workarounds I found on Google seem not to change anything.

Hello everybody,

I'm new to speedrunning, thought I managed to get the record for Sword of Vermilion Any%. I lowered that record to sub 2 hours, and I also set a new record for Glitchless Any% at 2h21, but I can't upload the videos on Youtube. I googled my problem many times, but the videos seem to be rejected by Youtube during the processing phase. When I try to load a smaller video (say, 15 minutes), it works fine, but the longer ones always get rejected.

Is there a more efficient or failproof way to post videos on Youtube ? Is there a workaround for posting records ?

My videos were filmed using OBS in standard .mkv settings (60 fps). I converted the videos to .mp4, but neither the .mkv or the .mp4 versions get accepted by Youtube.

Please, help me out !

I decided to start running the glitchless category! I even have my guide up. My time so far is 3:10:47, which is much less than I anticipated. I'll submit a run once I reach below 3:00:00.

I finally got my run ! I'll upload to YouTube, then submit. I Can you beat 2:01:58 ? I hope the video will be alright. It's a 17 Go video... I'm not sure if I should somehow compress it...

I finally settled on using the Fusion Emulator, as my videos using OCR and Steam seemed laggy.

Finally, I plan to write a guide in the next days (or weeks...), so that anybody who tries to beat the game in less than 2 hours will have the proper information on key moments for the run. It can be done, but the run I will submit doesn't have a lot of room for improvements, at least for the routing.

Hi. I'm a newcomer to Speedrun.com. I'd like to speedrun this game in the coming month. I've already tried timing my segments and it looks promising ! I want to make sure to use the proper equipment. I've been through the speedrun FAQs, but I'm not sure the emulator I'm using is authorized. Can you shed some light on this for me ? I use the Sega Megadrive and Genesis Classics game on Steam, which has a game library featuring Sword of Vermilion. I record using OBS on some standard settings.

Is there anything else I should know before recording my attempts ?
