XP Multiplier and Taming speed are fine, but need to be arranged to the exact values before any new runs!

In my opinion if you have to rely on crashing files outside of the game to get these dupes then you are not playing the game. If there is a dupe method that does not require you to mess game files, aka going into the files on your desktop and messing with them, then I think it would be open to discussion for the any% then make the any% glitchless. I could be wrong, but from my understanding you must abuse files to do the method found and imo that is not playing the game.

Due to the method of taming the pheonix,which involves needing to wait for a specific event, we have decided that it is not required for the "Queen of Beast" Category. I will fix the extinction list idk how I missed that many, but thank you

Egg Hatch Speed and Baby Mature Speed are both wrong. both should be 1000000000.0 It does not interfere with the run, so it is being accepted

I could have sworn megalosaurus was not tamable on the island. Both are fixed. Thank you!

I think pixelmon reforged comes with Optifine but I could be wrong

I feel like for default full runs we should maybe allow 1 checkpoint per artifact and 1 checkpoint before you grab it, as well as possibly adding checkpoints after each boss. However since the rest of the runs are not really going towards beating a boss the only way to do it like that is to either say you have to tame X creatures for QOB, etc for other runs. For consistency just allowing checkpoints to be made anywhere may be better, but maybe the community has a different answer. We would love to hear what yall have to say!

TBH I dont think it is or atleast in any fast fashion at all.

I absolutely agree with maverick here. If its an intentional death due to something thats easily seen as bad RNG then it should be rejected.

Ill answer each of these questions with my reasoning as to why.

1.) Should checkpoints be added for default? I do believe that checkpoints should be added for default as some maps are unforgiving. Any boss fight is also unforgiving. Being about 20 hours into a run then dying in a cave (has happened to me) is not a very enjoyable experience, and having to restart at that point makes players not want to do the defaults.

2.) Whats the minumum length for a checkpoint? In my opinion the minimum length doesnt matter. Id say if you play less than an hour and a half then you probably didnt get a lot of progress done so at that point its not worth saving.

No idea if this game has a discord, but if it does the link is invalid. Also have a question. For full game can you summon for cards or no?

So I have a few questions about the pokedex completion category. I know there has already been a fourm about this however no questions I have were ever directly answered in this fourm. 1.) Can the run be segmented (take brakes at points after maybe about 3 hours due to the length of the category without any time loss) 2.) Are trade evos required since they are not obtainable (not to my knowledge atleast) in the game?

Ive tried dino strats and they just never live but I see where you are coming from.

I dont think it would make dino strats slower cause you still collect faster with dinos, but I understand yall not wanting to change it. In any sense Ill no matter what be doing all the full runs so hopefully yall can beat my times. Have a good snow day -Frosty

Im not talking about only QOB tho I am mainly talking about for Full Runs. So it is not as grindy

Hello my name is Frosty and I have been working on default speedruns because I don't want any categorys to be untouched here in ARK. One major problem I see with default difficulty (and really the reason no one wants to do it) is because of how long everything takes. Now do not get me wrong I completely understand why bisho would choose the category to be like this, however I feel like in at least full runs maybe there can be some Quality of Life changes? Maybe instead of Default Settings it could just be Default Difficulty. The settings I would suggest to be changed are :

Level Speed - This is just grindy as normally you want to be max level. It should not be as easy as it is in easy but even a 2x multiplier would help a lot here.

Harvest Amount - This is the biggest problem. In Full run you need to get around 2k (island) shotgun shells and 2-3 shotguns for a optimal strat to fight the bosses. Other runs do not need this as much such as QAT where the main goal is to craft an auto turret.

Being able to see where we are on the map would be nice.

Taming Speed - In QOB this would be helpful, however since the main goal of the run is to tame everything IDK if it would be best. Would probably bring a 100 hour run (estimate) down to about 70.

And many others. Again I understand the appeal of just doing it on default settings and will do it either way. Was just wondering if this would maybe catch the mods eyes since default is rarely ever ran.

I also have a poll going on here. This is for me to just see what everyone else thinks. The mods can look at this too if they want but I always find the polls results interesting. Anyways thank you for reading and I hope you have a snow day! -Frosty

ya thats what I thought.

For ARK Genesis 2 if you start up a new server on Gportal the default hexagon count is .1. This is not a problem in SP as it is 1.0. For MP runs will we be allowed to change it to 1.0 in the ini for Gportal?
