i dont think it can be allowed if i am right because its altering the game significantly, i might test it later to be sure
but does it crash if you dont do 1 core
also unless he makes it not scale to 4k (1080 should be fine) we cant set it to run on only 1 core so it will likely crash
just look at piheist run, its not emulator, its a bug in the game
i mean, my runs have been after you flip the switch, at that point you no longer have control and are in a cutscene, eventually that scene does change to an FMV
yeah i dont know why you cant uncheck 4k...basically what i ended up doing is making the largest 4x3 window i could make without the window going off screen
one of the reasons i stopped using peixoto is the 4k part, i needed lower resoultion so one processor core could handle the game so that it would stop crashing
oh also i run the game using only 1 core...one thing i noticed is you cant do this with peixoto cause of the upscaling it does...game slows down and CPU core goes to 100%...the main reason i use DXWnd instead now
i just made a 4x3 window with DXWnd, although its possible it was slightly off. I used compatibility mode XP
the game actually has a dodge....dont use it :)
both seemed about the same to me, but if peixoto is actually faster then its altering the game in a way we would not really want. as for emulation, if console actually has a bug where you have to reset the system, that would give the emulator an advantage over console
i would not even use the peixoto patch, that thing crash's a lot....although i doupt its any different speed wise, if it happens to be a different speed then it flat out should not be allowed. and yes that patch where they stay dead would for sure be cheating, lol. But the thing about a lot of categories in a game like this is its not really necessary. its not like this game will have 200 runners
PC seems a lot faster. Not sure if you want seperate categories or not
when i do win95 compatibility mode i cant get it to run in a window, i have been able to get it to window in windows xp mode
when i do win95 compatibility mode i cant get it to run in a window, i have been able to get it to window in windows xp mode
first 5 minutes takes a lot of skill and practice to get a good time, also even in re7 its just a meme category...we have a lot of meme categories. I see no reason to start everyone at Mike Wave's best apartment time for example
so for me Peixoto's crashs a decent amount...but i have not found any setup that does not crash at all for PC yet. I did finish a run with using only 1 core of CPU and no peixoto (his resoultion stuff causes it to run slow with only 1 core) but it crashed on the cutscene at the end so i dont know if its stable. I think the game ends when you pull the final lever, so crashing after that is fine
so i "finished" a run in 1:58, granted i did die and just happened to have a save in the correct spot...i think even though you cant skip recordings , PC version is faster. Also it crashed when i pulled the final lever...but at least that lever is the end. When i actually get a no crash no death run to finish i will upload it
