This write-up consolidates all of the relevant information that has been posted in the guides section over the years and cleans up some clutter on the guides page.

Information Spreadsheet

This spreadsheet contains lots of incredibly useful information, such as NPC locations at each hour of each day, job requirements/hours, building hours, NPC interaction bonuses, Xizzle information, and much more! Scottish Hoose Cat Glitch (Original post by: steve_schlegel)

Here is steve_schlegel's original video on how to do the Scottish Hoose Cat Glitch, which is used to make large amounts of money in the speedrun to skip any sort of money grinding after the Sim Quarter is unlocked. (Also shows you how to run on the water - not currently useful for the speedrun, but interesting nonetheless)

Single Fountain Repair Glitch (Original post by: Slembi)

There's a task in chapter 1 which requires you to repair two fountains. There's a glitch which causes the task to complete after repairing only one. Here's how to consistently perform it:

Be on a save which has already completed that task
Exit out of it
Start a new save

When you reach the fountain section it should complete after repairing the first one.

I'd imagine this happens because some flags aren't reset when you exit out of a save or start a new character. It's possible there are similar skips later on in the game but we won't know unless someone runs in to them.
