I would suggest, for Classic Mode especially, to choose a character with a good, long projectile and customize it with the First Strikers Bonus, Home-run Bat equip and the Fast batter. To start each battle, get the first hit with your projectile. Then follow it up with a Home-Run Bat to K.O during invincibility. Recommende characters: Falco, Mii Gunner, Pit or Dark Pit, Fox, Mega Man or Samus. I prefer to use Falco, but just find your best and you'll do fine.
