1. Learn some cuts (Glitches if you need to.)
2. If possible, the tower that you speedrunning don't have locals (That can slow you down, but some can actually be better than some of the normal stages) If you don't know locals, it's a stage that the plaftform moves/dissapear sometimes. Example: pararell, phantom
3. I usually pick a good tower, and then speedrun it. How do i know its a good tower? using this. https://tower-of-hell.fandom.com/wiki/Sections I suggest pick the short one, no matter what the difficulty is.
