It's a really common problem for Citra to crash if you try to play Grand Prix on RR3D. The issue can be resolved sometimes by selecting quick tour and getting to the car select screen, then backing out and entering Grad Prix. You'll know if it worked or not by whether some of the UI elements are white boxes.
