Load Remover Setup

So to set up the load remover, you'll want to have Livesplit open, and then Right click --> Edit layout. Click on the '+' symbol, and then add a second timer. If you double click one of them, you'll see a dropdown list labelled 'Timing Method'. Change it to 'Game Time' and then do the same for the second timer, but change the second one to 'Real Time'. This is because the Load Remover pauses the timer which is set to 'Game Time' when the game is loading.  

Now that you've set up the timers, all you need to do is Right click the main Livesplit window --> Edit Splits. In the box labelled 'Game Name', fill it in with Ratatouille (Asobo), and click enter. The Load Remover automatically activates when you do this. An easy way to check if that worked is to look for the box that says 'Deactivate'.

The second way of setting it up works just as well. After you've done the timers in the same way, go back to Edit Layout, click the '+', go to Control, and click Scriptable Auto Splitter. Double click this, and after extracting the zip from the resources tab on speedrun.com, click Browse, and locate the .asl.

The Load Remover is the most accurate method, but if, for some reason, you can't use it, instead, you must show your framerate throughout the video, and it has to be consistent. Then you can use the link below to find your Time Without Loads. The 'Full Run' column is the time for Canless and not Canless, including 1 OOB at the spiders (This is the most common route). If you didn't go OOB during this part of the run, subtract the 'OOB Duration at Spiders / Chase' time. For any other deaths in the run, add the appropriate value, according to your fps. It would be a good idea for you to put in the run description where you die, to make it easier for mods.

Extra notes: Other categories haven't been entered into the table yet, so please ask in the discord for help with retiming. For most people, it only works on overlay_win2k.exe, but it works for some on overlay.exe. If you're using the original CD-ROM, the Load Remover doesn't work, so you should get the other version. Cheat% Loads are faster than Any% Loads, even though they have the same route.
