I know that hard reset is Ctrl + R, But I can't figure out how to soft reset. People told me to hold A B Start Select, but it's not working. Can anybody help?

It should be working with A+B+Start+Select, I do that quite often. Try holding the buttons for longer than you usually do, maybe the inputs didn't register simultaneously.
