Hello I'm looking into a no hit/damage run and was wondering if there was any documentation on minupulating boss patterns? There seams to be some very agresive patterns. If there is not a way to manip them maybe and early indicator of what pattern you will get. Thanks

If you start from a fresh power on and don't die or up+a, the boss patterns should be the same every time. Which pattern you get is console (and maybe cart?) dependent. Also, you can tell what pattern you'll get from the behavior of certain enemies. For example, in the first room to the right after taking the elevator to Norfair, if the first purple enemy that jumps up from the lava jumps to the ceiling, you'll get the "bad" Ridley pattern where Ridley's shots hit you when you're up against Ridley's playform.

Thanks! I have I have noticed that I get different patterns without up+A or dieing but that maybe because I'm resetting and not going from power on. I have chatted with ChX a bit about his run. I'm planning on going no glitches so door clips are out.
