Mega is fairly easy to run, since he is one of the characters that can deal enough damage to kill without having to move. Because of this, he is easy to learn, but hard to master. The current strat with Mega is to ride Rush Jet as close to the boss's hitbox as possible, and spam shoot them. Because of this, to make new records, it's entirely based on small optimizations, such as calling Rush as late as possible, charging your Buster before the boss becomes vulnerable, and firing as soon as they are. With Rush Jet, Mega can also be very helpful for multiplayer runs, by calling Rush and allowing all players to ride on him. When doing this, be sure to be the first one to get on Rush, or else it will drain the other player/s's EP. A slight optimization for multiplayer Mega is that usually, there is enough EP for Mega to steal another player's power and use it once without prematurely exhausting his EP and despawning Rush.
