Hey I’m quite new to speedrunning so I was wondering if anyone had any tips?

There is a lot of stuff to consider when speedrunning. First it depends what version you're speedrunning on.

You can say the different paths all align up to one point: Having 12+- enderpearls and an equal amount of blaze powder. Aswell as this goes regular gear such as beds, bow, arrows and anything you'd want in the end fight.

So to get to this stage:

If you're speedrunning under 1.9-1.14 (preferably 1.14.2), you'll want to trade with villagers to get enderpearls. The way that you would do this is you want to get a LOT of wood to craft sicks. With sticks you can trade with 2 different types of villagers to firstly get emeralds for 32+ sticks, and then trade with another type of villager (forgot their possesion names) to get enderpearls for 5 pearls. (You can find more information about this technique by watching 1.14.2 speedrunners or by searching on youtube)

However in catagory 1.16+ (1.16.1) you can trade with piglins in the nether for enderpearls with really good luck (about 6% to get 3-8 pearls per gold ingot I think). After you got enough pearls from trading you want to find a nether fortress, which is way more difficult with the new biomes. Once you find it you want to get the required blaze rods (6, or 7 to be safe) and head back. Before you leave the nether you want to have 12+- enderpearls (+- because there is a chance of there already being pearls inside the stronghold/portal) and an equal amount of blaze powder. After this you locate the end and beat the dragon.
