Its been a while since I've played and sorry if I asked this before. How do you avoid the soft lock at the door right before teleporter to Xen in Lambda core? Also how do you fix the soft lock. Soon I might do a have to do it in a marathon and want to make sure this does not happen during the run.

when you save and reload npc no longer open doors. do dont load the game into a save that made at that level

Yes I know that. There is a specific soft lock at Lambda where the door does not open at all.

I have never had this happen ur map might be corrupt, try reinstalling goldsrc package or remove the map and rebuild it.

It happens to me occasionally.I am on steam version and I use won files from a year ago, Maybe I need to get the updated stuff. But I guess there is no way around it. Ill use the latest goldsrc package and if it persists I'll let you guys know. thanks for the reply.

If so I had this problem before and it was happening 9/10 times for some reason. When I reinstalled everything (won package and steam game) it was fixed and haven't got the problem since.

make a safety save behind the door beforehand just in case everything else fails, if the marathon allows that
