hi i'm about to do my race and post it and i wanted to know if it's "legal" to change the game's language to have more speed ?
Does it change speed? The whole panel comes at once i dont think so.
Its probably better to make english the standard because translating seems quite open so "custom" languages could be done.
Worst case would be a hunt to write the shortest legitamite language. Also languages other than english could be corrected and made longer again which gives an edge to old runs.
On the other hand making a custum speedrunning language with no text etc. could prevent that small time saves are made against the rules which are barely noticeable.
Would help if the other mods say what they think or all runners.
Would it really change anything though ? as you mentionned the whole text appears on one pannel so you still have to skip every pannel and it takes the same amount of time ...
