Rune Tower Locations

HCOTK - RUNE TOWERS FOR 100%

THE RUNE SYMBOL 
When discussing the location of the rune towers, the symbol that appears on the ground is a good reference for directions. 
The rune symbol has a point at one end and a flat section at the other. 
By default, the point appears at the bottom and the flat part at the top. 

FERVEN 
Upon arrival from Finding Vetch, immediately on your left is a large island. RT6 is here. 
Complete RT6 – Glider Challenge and follow the guide arrows to the black crystal. 
Replay level Rune Tower 6 to get back to RT6. 
Align the sunsurfer so that the rune symbol is in its default rotation. 
Fly to the right of the rune symbol in a straight line to reach RT4 – Spheri Shield Challenge. 
Complete RT4, collect the black crystal and reload Finding Vetch.  

FERRA 
Upon arrival from Finding Vetch, turn around so that the two visible land masses are on your left.
Fly directly down until you see clouds to prevent the planet from rotating. 
Directly ahead of you, just out of full view is a large island. 
Fly to the right of this until you see a blue texture in the distance. This is Virescent Village. 
Keep flying straight passing Darkwater and on another island to your left, you'll see the rune symbol for Rune Tower 1 – Spheri Shield Challenge.
Complete RT1 and collect the black crystal. 
There is a huge shortcut in RT1 achieved by holding forwards and then switching to right as you’re about to go around the first turn. 
Replay level Rune Tower 1 to get back to RT1. 
Turn back towards the nearby island with Darkwater on it and go past it to the left. 
Continue in a straight line heading slightly left until you see a snowy island to your left. This takes a while. 
You will also see another island to your left before the snowy one. This means you’re on the correct path. 
The snowy island has Rune Tower 8 – Arena Challenge. Complete RT8, collect the black crystal, and reload Finding Vetch. 

EXARCO 
Upon arrival from Finding Vetch stay high and allow the planet to rotate underneath you. 
Fly against the rotation so that the planet spins faster underneath you. 
If you go too low, the planet will stop rotating. 
After a few minutes, you’ll see a very large island appear on your left. 
This island has Rune Tower 5 – Spheri Shield Challenge. 
Luckily, it is the only rune tower on this planet so you can collect the black crystal and reload Finding Vetch. 
 
NEQUAM 
Nequam is the planet in front of you when you load Finding Vetch. 
DO NOT kill the waves. This will prevent you from travelling down onto Nequam. 
Unfortunately, Nequam is the largest planet. 
Fortunately, it only has one rune tower, and it is very close to where you spawn. 
As soon as you load into Finding Vetch, fly directly towards the planet.
Turn 180 degrees so that there is a small island directly in front of you and a large island to the top right. 
The large island should be coming towards you as the planet turns. 
Nequam rotates ridiculously quickly so you will go past the rune tower on the large island in front of you. 
Once you’re low enough that the planet has stopped rotating, head to Rune Tower 2 – Spheri Shield Challenge. 
Complete RT2, collect the black crystal, and reload Finding Vetch for the final time.  

AURIA 
Travelling to Auria from Nequam will always put you at the entrance to the Vetch fight; Rune Tower 3 is on the same island. 
After travelling to Auria, turn left until you can only see land in front of you. 
Rune Tower 3 – Spheri Shield Challenge is directly in front of you. Complete RT3 and the black crystal. 
Replay level Rune Tower 3 to get back to RT3. 
Align the sunsurfer so that the rune symbol is in its default rotation. 
Fly to the left of the rune symbol in a straight line. 
You will quickly arrive at a very long and very thin island. 
Around the middle of this island is the final rune tower, Rune Tower 7 – Glider Challenge. 
Complete RT7 and collect the black crystal. 
Replay level Rune Tower 3. 
Head slightly to the left of the direction you are placed facing on exiting RT3 and straight ahead. 
This will put you at the final Vetch fight.

I considered only making leaderboards for the platforming levels but it is possible to find time save in the vehicle segments so every level in the game has a split plus one ext
