This trick consists of crossing a gap in stage 5 which skips having to get the hook in the room where you bait the fat guy into pressing the button, saving from 25 to 35 seconds. It was discovered by 2Trainz and Torp, and developed further by Le_Hulk and Swordsmankirby Furious was kind enough to develop a rom hack for practicing Goof Troop, which also shows your character’s position down to the subpixel.
