I ran this game for fun for a bit soon after the game came out however now I'm trying to get back into it I have found that the old downpatcher doesn't work properly? I tried using the new one but on both of my attempts it did nothing. I can't find any resource anywhere with a simple explanation as to how to troubleshoot / use the newer downpatcher. Due to download speed it takes me a full day to use it so any help before I attempt again would be much appreciated. (Also if anyone could recommend what patch the autosplitter works on that would be cool too!)
What patch are you attempting to downpatch to? Are you downpatching your Epic install? and Im guessing you are on epic?
Trying to patch to 1.0.0 I tried on the old downpatcher but was given an error message. Not so sure what downpatching the epic install entails, does that mean downpatching and then re-installing the game? Also yeah it's on epic
Im guessing you get an error from "bifrost.dll" whenever you launch the game? If so, the only way to fix it is to copy your 1.0 install to another drive or somewhere outside of where you installed the game though Epic. If you do this though you must use the "create shortcut" button on the old patcher and launch your game using that shortcut.
Yeah that's the error I'm getting. Just to check I'm getting this right, I am to copy the game to another folder where epic didn't install the game, create a shortcut using the downpatcher and then access the game through that shortcut?
