I've seen people skip the bonus stage, I was wondering how to do that, I've tried pressing different buttons and combo buttons but I can't get it to skip.

Also what's the best emulator to play this game on? I'm using project 64 1.6

lol its been 5 years but if you are still interested, pressing all 4 "C" buttons (the yellow ones) at the same time self destructs the tank, ending the bonus level.

project 64 works but original hardware is the GOAT
