How to access the game's dev menu

This guide is for the steam version. Sorry if you're on other platforms!

The dev menu is extremely useful not just for practicing runs, but also for doing individual level runs, where certain levels are outright impossible to access on a complete save file, unless you want to replay the entire game to get to them again (namely all the levels in World 1, and the boss fights for world runs). Hence, it is recommended to have it enabled if you want to do IL runs - however, make sure not to use its abilities in full game runs for obvious reasons, nor use any of the cheats that will be enabled by doing this (eg. god mode or anti grav)

First, right click on Kitsune Tails on Steam and go to Properties. Then under launch options enter '-cheats' without the quotes. Then launch the game, go to options, and there should be an option at the bottom to enable the dev menu. Then simply load your save file, hit F2 and you should see the dev menu open!

Now, you can use the 'warp to location' tool to warp to World 1 again and play those levels, you can swap the player character at any time, and if you're playing on a new save you can warp straight to any world you wish to run and play it througuh fully with the boss fights. Hopefully this is useful :)

This is also required to run Kiri% in order to immediately change characters.

How to execute a Spirit Rush Cancel (and keep the momentum)


1. Get P meter to full.
2. Execute Spirit Rush. (Hold slash until the red arrows show up. Let go of slash)
3. Before the animation finishes, do a neutral slash attack and make sure you aren't holding left or right.
Congrats. You have successfully executed a SRC. You can use the speed as if you were butt sliding.

I've added new listings for the main six boss fights you encounter throughout the main game as ILs so you can speedrun them. I don't have listings added for any of the extra boss fights Kiri has during her playthrough or the final boss yet, but those can definitely be added in future.
