The rules for timing IL runs has changed.

Timing now starts on entering the chapter from the menu (Chapter menu or Replay this Chapter button), and ends on the first visible frame of the loading icon before the Results screen. (Some levels exclude this loading icon, in which case timing ends on the first fully black frame after a fade-out before the results screen.) This ruleset is much more consistent than the previous one of gaining/losing control.

As a result of this, videos are now also required to show both the chapter select menu before the run, as well as the moment before the Results screen.

Existing runs are going to be manually edited or rejected throughout today, as they've already been re-timed in advance. Please be patient, and if there are any questions regarding a run rejection or the new ruleset, you can ask them in the Asobo discussion channel of our Discord Server: https://discord.gg/Cjq4WDAmvg

New rule for all full-game and IL categories: It is allowed to cap the game frame-rate to any value above or equal to 50 for the entire duration of the run. Changing the frame-rate cap during the run is forbidden.

Clarification: Any tools, such as driver settings, OS-level settings or external tools (that do not have any other effect on the game) are allowed for this specific purpose.
