I've given the idea of Individual Level categories some thought, both before and after becoming mod. I discussed whether or not they should be added with the other mod, @amasterclasher, and we both agreed that Individual Level categories wouldn't be interesting enough to implement.

Individual Level runs wouldn't be very diverse, while only lasting a couple seconds in total. I believe that if Individual Level runs were to be added as a category, the best possible way to beat a level would be determined quickly and the competition would be over who has the quickest running game, and not an individual's skill. Honestly, I'd also prefer not to watch and verify tons of 10 second videos every day, but that probably shouldn't be considered anyways!

Hey all! Since becoming Mod, I've decided to separate runs based on which version of the game is being used. There appears to be two major game versions, with the most used version being the one that is found on Coolmathgames. For simplicity, I'll be referring to the version found on Coolmathgames as version A, and the other as version B.

Version B is different from version A in that it uses different physics. The main difference seems to be the pull-power is much stronger in B than A, although there are many other smaller differences as well. Because of the differences, I believe it would be unfair for players to submit times to the same category while using different instances of the game.

Through my own research, I could not find a website that would let me play version B. I believe this is because flash is no longer supported on chrome, although I'm not sure. I AM able to play Version B after downloading a program titled FlashGameArchive. This program lets users play flash games that have been collected and archived.

For all future runs of Version B, I ask that players use the FlashGameArchive to play the game. It's not necessary to use the FlashGameArchive as long as the version you are playing is the same version used in the archive. All current runs of Version B will be moved to the new Version B category.

TLDR: There are two different versions of the game. An example for Version A can be found on Coolmathgames, and an example for Version B can be found using the FlashGameArchive. Please submit your runs accordingly.

Hasn't been an active mod for the game in a very long time.

I've attempted to reach Mr. Torttelini over multiple mediums and have not heard from him. I attempted to contact him through his Youtube channel months ago with no response, and a DM through speedrun.com over a week ago. The Twitch channel he has linked to his account has presumably been deleted.

Mr. Tortellini's twitch doesn't exist anymore and I've tried contacting him through youtube way more than a month ago.

Has not had an active moderator in a while, and I know that there's multiple pending run verifications (including mine).

I believe I have the first recorded run of this game, and I also believe I was in 7th grade at the time of recording! I currently hold 34th place under the name "slowgames_master". At the time, I had no idea this website existed, so I didn't even have an account until kinda recently! The moderator "pepe_luvs_u" found my old run and actually added it to the leader-boards themselves.

I just find it pretty funny that when I was like 13 I wanted to compete with my friend, so I tried to beat the game as fast as possible. Then years later I see that my video was submitted as a run lmao.

This post is kinda pointless, I just wanted to point out that the first recorded run of IQ Ball was done by a middle-school version of me and I think that's pretty funny
