Some in the community may be familiar with my unofficial Speedrun.com browser app ( https://www.speedrun.com/the_site/thread/3iked ). Since its initial release a year and a half ago, I have been continuing to make updates, and I think this new feature warrants a new thread.

One of the most frequently requested features has been the ability to do moderation of speedruns from the app. I am not a moderator myself, obviously, but I took some to think about what the easiest/most convenient moderating experience would be. As of yesterday, this feature was finally implemented in the app, and it is now possible to moderate speedruns from an Android smartphone.

If you are a moderator and want to try it out, follow the steps below:

1. Download app from Google Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=danb.speedrunbrowser
2. After opening the app, click the gear icon in the top right
3. Tap "Speedrun.com API Key for Moderation"
4. Retrieve your speedrun.com API key in the web dialog that appears
5. Paste it into the box
6. View pending moderations by clicking on the gavel icon on the app front page

Please note, if you run into a problem, this feature is very experimental and difficult to test functionality myself. Please file a ticket on GitHub ( https://github.com/dl00/speedrun-browser-android/issues/new/choose ) or reply in this thread if you need help.

Finally, thanks to all the people who use my unofficial app each day! Its always so much fun to read comments and find new ways to improve the app.

A couple months ago, I started work on adding WR Progression, gameplay statistics, submission volume, and other charts to my Android app for speedrun.com. I previously posted about the app I have been working on here: https://www.speedrun.com/The_Site/thread/3iked

The WR charts in particular have a number of useful features:

• A chart for each category/level leaderboard, taking into account subcategories
• Display of the WRs as a list beside the chart
• Ability to click on a WR when its selected to view the run

Since its a cool new feature and people have been asking for ways to view the charts after the site redesign I thought I should post it here. I hope people find it useful!

I have been working on (yet another) unofficial Android app for Speedrun.com for the last couple months. The project has really been making headway in recent weeks, so I figured I would open a thread here to get some feedback/following.

The app has a number of nice features:

• Support for watching youtube AND twitch videos in the app
• Locally stored watch history, no sign in or registration
• View all leaderboards and categories and levels in a compact and conformant manner
• Dedicated backend servers not connected to speedrun.com--the app is very fast and snappy!
• View player personal bests and graphs of PBs over time
• Support for both phones and tablets, landscape or portrait.
• Notifications within minutes of a favorite runner or game's PBs or WRs

Possibly in the future I can do an iOS clone of this as well, depending on how well the Android app turns out.
