The frame perfect skip on level 15, how much time would people guess it saves?

I currently moderate the games with the paper.io series and all the games are currently classed as unofficial releases even though they are official releases from the developers.

How/who do I talk to about getting them changed to official releases?

Should the runs be classed as emulator if it is just running an SWF on my normal PC?

When specifically should the timing start and finish ?

The game on android seems to have changed so the intro is slower.

There seems to be a few frames at the start of the game whereby the camera zooms in to the game screen adding time before the player is created on the screen.

I believe this takes at least android out of the running for most of the runs as it instantly puts people at a disadvantage.

We should discuss if the new power ups should be allowed on the leaderboard or not?

Just wondering why there is not a levels leaderboard for each level due to their being a specific time trial mode in the game for 1 lap and 3 lap records just like Mario kart?

Would this be something we could add in?

Comparing the speed of the cars in the IL record for Aztec, first and second are using N64 EMU where as 3rd place is using a PS emu and the speed of the car looks to be a good 30 mph (or whatever speed they use) difference between the games.

I am gonna download the N64 emu to see if this is the case.

What are the rules for the speed runs?

When does a run start: ? When does a run end: ? What dificulty does a run need to be on: ? What extra abilities can you use: ?

Any other info would be useful?

Hi I am a moderator of paper io 2 leaderboard and recently all the leaderboard scores have vanished and some of the run sections have vanished too, the whole leaderboard just seems to have corupted or been lost.

Due to a conversation between mods we have agreed upon a new way of timing the game.

The change is in regards to when the timing starts, the timing will now start after you press the play button when the menu screen dissapears and the game screen appears.

ALL times have been re-timed and resubmitted with the following comment "Mod edit: retimed with new Start Time" if you have a run that does not have this comment on it that was submitted earlier than today then please comment and let me know.

After then insane 1 kill wr showed the video of timing a speed run, I feel this should be adopted by all verifiers.

When you right click and copy the debug details simply paste the lower number into the least text area box and the higher number in the most text area box and it should output the difference for you.

We need to agree upon a couple of things

1 - when should the timer start for record A - when you press the button? B - when the screen goes blank? C - when the player starts moving?

2 - should there be a timer on screen for all records?

3 - there are enough moderators now so we shouldn't have any self moderation.

Thoughts?

Just looked at the new WR for 10,000 points on mobile and it is a version of doodle jump with a cannon at the start that removes the first 7,000 points or so compared to mine which starts at 0.

How can both versions be classed under the same rules?
