If you're on mobile, then you can't even download LiveSplit.
Also, the Splits.io URL is optional. And there are tutorials online about it.
And as to if LiveSplit's required, every game is different and has its own rules. But since you're on mobile, then you won't need it.
It's used to upload splits to, which are timed segments of gameplay. For example, runners can see how much time they've lost or gained on a certain level.
And when submitting a run on SRC, you could enter the splits' link to display them on the site.
This feature used to be on the site, but was completely removed with the site redesign. Although, what games had set for them can still be seen on API v1.
I believe people could set engines, genres, and developers.
And with @Pac, there was a feature to search through all these values. But I believe the search part was removed due to spam?
And I think one of site staff did say that they might add these tags back? But I'm not too sure about that now.
There's a form in Goldeneye 007 which explains it: https://www.speedrun.com/goldeneye_007_n64/forums/xbne6
There's also a resource which gives a tutorial of how to install it: https://www.speedrun.com/ge60fps/resources/cg67i
Also, you could join Goldeneye 007 (PC)'s Discord to ask for help there, or ask in their forums.
After reading the rules, it seems like their stopwatch program is required.
I also recommend submitting your run to The Elite Rankings (I think that's the correct category link?)
@FellCylinder986, abbreviation is just the old way of saying URL path.
Since every game has a different path, like Minecraft: Java Edition has "mc". https://www.speedrun.com/mc
No, just normally category extentions do have the correct settings.
@legendaryboss17, alt accounts are banned on the site, so hopefully if someone does create an alt, and this is found out, then their alt account will be banned.
A user's rejected runs could also be seen on their profile - to check if they've cheated in another game or not. However, the user could delete these runs to hide that they're cheating.
Also, it depends if the moderators of this game even look at a user's past rejected runs to check if that runner is trustworthy or not before anyway. But maybe they onky do only on really suspicious players.
Also I see that your CE board was added recently. https://www.speedrun.com/_Indigo_Park_Chapter_1_Category_Extensions
Bruh @starsmiley, how'd this get added without the correct settings lmao
They have the Category Extension game type, with the base game set as their main leaderboard.
To get this updated, you need to submit a support ticket. Link: https://www.speedrun.com/support/tickets/new
On that page, select "Change an existing game or series", and then "Change the type of an existing game". Then select your Category Extension board for the game, tick the Category Extension game type check box, and set the base game to your main leaderboard.
Can we ping @Horror_Game_K in the post
Also bruh why would he cheat.
@Horror_Game_K, do you admit to cheating lol
You can use anything to record your screen as long as the output is clear - unless this is a bot lol.
@digirdp are you a bot?
If I were a mod, then I would still verify it - since it's still a valid run. But to save time, less effort could go into verifying.
I have added the download link into Resources: https://www.speedrun.com/granny_the_mall/resources/v3c1n
Since for most Granny Fangames games, their download links can be found from the Resources page.
Also, it'd be nice to have this download in the game's Website URL.
Some of his runs still exist on this game - which can be seen from his profile: https://www.speedrun.com/users/SpeedVortex
Although, personally I don't agree with rejecting runs with deleted videos, since they used to be a valid run in the past.
No, I don't think they'll be rejected as long as the lag is reasonable. Nor did @MyTH193_ say they would be lmao.
He gave Internet speed as an example as to why time can differ between players. And that the difference is why the player who preformed the action of escaping is only timed compared to the other players.
You can by submiting a support ticket under "Add a new game to Speedrun".
This page can be found from Help > New ticket > Add a new game to Speedrun > Next, and then fill out the form.
Or here's the link to the page: https://www.speedrun.com/support/tickets/new
Hello @Dryzalar, please can the link be added back onto this page and onto the category extentions?
Since it has been about 2 months since the "influx of users", and a server being popular isn't a bad thing - it's probably good. Since it helps the community be active and alive.
Although if the new users do spam too much, then turn slowdown on on the main Discord channels, or try and find more moderators.
When this feature was added. People also did freak out like this a lot lol
