The Timer I used to use was FramePerfect, however it only lets you do 1 category if you don't pay, but it's 2 dollars so I'd say its worth it. However if you can I would recommend just using LiveSplit on PC
Well I'm on Wii and this is my only gc game that has any problems with crashing (except for Melee, but it has tons of scratches so its pretty obvious it would crash) and I find it extremely odd that it only happens when I pause, but no where else
Basically my game has no problems with loading areas and things, but the moment I pause the game it just instantly crashes. My game disc does have some scratches, but this only recently started happening. If anyone can help me that would be cool
I assume you put your audio all the way up, in which case my best guess would be that maybe your speakers got busted and no longer work
You Don't need a capture card, but make sure 1. You can tell what's going on in the game and 2. Make sure you can clearly hear the audio from the game
Splits and even the timer are not required at all, all you need is a clear video of gameplay with audio, Most People have splits to compare with their other runs, or just to remember the route
My OBS set itself to 1080p for some reason so that was the problem
I'm using just Normal 64-Bit OBS Studio, and its already in it's own window. So idk why it's happening I'll test out Chrome and if that doesn't work I'll prob just deal with Microsoft Game Bar or whatever its called
Also I've used Microsoft Game DVR and it records perfectly fine but I want to overlay LiveSplit and have like NohBoard too
Alright so idk if this is the best place to ask, but I basically am able to record normal games pretty easily, but the moment I try to record my browser it runs at like 5 fps. Is this a common issue and if so how could I fix it. I currently use FireFox and I would prefer to use it, but if I have to use Chrome I'd be fine with it. Also I know it's not my internet cause 1. My Internet is pretty good, and 2. This happens with local recordings aswell.
I basically have a problem with LiveSplit's video plugin, where for like 2 seconds it shows the VLC logo, then it goes to like 6 seconds into the video keeps looping until 6 seconds pass, then continues which is kinda annoying. Does anyone know how to fix this and if not are there any alternatives?
Edit: Forgot to mention that I have the right version of VLC
Thank You, I was thinking of something like that, but my OBS would only display the capture card in one instance, I'll try this out
So basically AmaRecTV stopped working so I switched to just OBS, which fixed itself, but now I'm wondering how I can record raw footage. With AmaRec you obviously just hit the record button but for OBS I'm not sure. I've tried using AverMedias program, but it recorded at like 2 fps for whatever reason (even without also streaming with OBS) so yeah. The only reason I'm asking is so that I could like maybe play music or something over streams, but if it doesn't work I'll just stick to streaming without any music, Thanks! - Unbones
Last time I checked, CXBX-R isn't very accurate and has lots of issues. If you want to run BFBB through an emulator just use Dolphin, it's very accurate and much better then what CXBX-R currently is
@SteelPlays You switch to Patrick on the second island thus using the bus stop, and when you go to the pier since you arrived faster the G-Love cycle is off so you have to stand around for 1-2 seconds thus losing time
Some people don't like to do it as it can softlock and the timing is different, I believe not doing it loses like 1-2 seconds
I'm confused first of all how you are using LiveSplit on MacOSX, I assume you are using Wine? If you are it won't link to OBS
Do what the above post says, and if that doesn't work maybe check the livesplit settings to see if always on top is on, however I cannot guarentee that will work. I'm also pretty sure the minecraft community uses an in-game timer so using the would probably be better
