Sorry for late reply. As stated in the rules, the only emulators allowed are Fusion(showing FPS counter or Fusion window layout) and Retroarch(using GPGX, with core identifiable in run submissions).

Due to some demand and some of the levels playing out differently to the S3K equivalents, we have set up an IL board for Sonic 3. Rules are the same as S3K. Go nuts : )

To add to Ben's point, IL's have always included glitches where possible as the point of an IL is to complete the level as fast as humanly possible.

After encountering an issue with timing by IGT in Sonic 1 and Sonic 2, the mod team have decided to move timing to RTA-TB(Real Time Attack minus Time Bonus) as a global timing except for S3K as you can skip time bonus.

This brings some benefits, especially to Story Mode which means you will now be able to use the fastest strats possible and not be punished by lengthy time bonuses.

Also this means that people won't have to completely shift timing methods when changing games.

You can adjust this in the autosplitter by selecting RTA-TB as defaul timing method.

If you're unsure, just submit your runs anyway for now and the mod team can re-time your run.
