One possibility would be to just take the in-game times for each level and add them together instead of timing the entire run. This would technically allow for resting between levels which feels like it goes against what speedrunning should be, but it would have several benefits including standardizing times across platforms and making measurement more consistent.

I've also noticed that Oculus Quest recording audio drifts out of sync during long recordings. If you listen to the ending sound effect on Easy1 vs Hard4, the Hard4 one is noticeably delayed. So either the audio or the video is either too fast or too slow. That could be affecting timing differences. Not ~15 seconds of difference, though, so what you observed is definitely a more important issue to resolve first.

Good Question. I think it would make sense to start after the game has loaded and end once the ending platform has been reached with the sound effect playing. If nobody has any objections to that then I'll update the rules.

Nice run. This is totally my bad for being slow at verifying runs, but there was actually a new WR submitted before this, making this one third place currently.

Edit: Ah but I see you got the WR after anyway!

I realized the category rules didn't specify the start end conditions when you submitted this. I updated them and retimed this.

The PC version is PCVR, so it has the same controls as Quest. It's not a flat desktop game.

Was intended to be 100% run but missed objectives at 1:40, so I approved it but moved it to any%

Moved to main time run category and removing Quest-specific category.

Oh that's pretty cool. Gonna need to make any% and glitchless categories now. Will probably combine PC and Quest categories to make room.

The current main leaderboard contains separate PC and Quest categories. This made sense at the time as PC and Quest had slightly different layouts and the Quest version didn't have enemies. Now with the PC 9.0 update, they seem to be the same. Because of this, I chose to set up the individual level run categories to be PC 8.1 and PC 9.0/Quest. Does anyone have any thoughts about doing the same for the main leaderboard? Getting 8.1 running isn't straightforward, so I could even see removing that category entirely.

tl;dr: do we need separate PC and Quest categories now that PC 9.0 (as far as I can tell) matches up with the Quest version?
