Hey, I just came back to this game after 2 months and I was relearning all the levels when suddenly, I was zero zipping into a load zone, and not only was the load zone delayed but it also teleported me to a completely different spot than I was supposed to.

Is there an explanation behind this or am i just being dumb?

(P.P.S. after wathing a non speedrun walkthrough i realize that actually if i was doing playing as intended this is normally where i would end up. Why did i get teleported to the normal place instead in the train tracks?)

i looked around a bit, and i found in the guides section, theres a reddit post. It says a few things about running celeste, primarily about how serious you are about it. I decided i was gonna run it "somewhat casually". I already knew advanced movement before I wanted to start running, so the only thing i needed to know was some of benteezy's chapter guides. Unfortunately, both the "where to start" guide and "benteezy's chapter guides full playlist" were posted 2 years ago, so im not sure if they are the most up to date info. im really confused as to what im supposed to do. Does anyone know what the most up to date info for beginning celeste speedrunning is?

ik its not that different from any%, but it still feels weird that it doesnt exist.

ive already completed the game once, but im still pretty terrible at combat and you dont use and health refill things throughout the entire run, so i was thinking is it okay if i set the difficulty to story? im not sure if there are any rules around this, so im asking through the forums

This doesn't really seem as active as most speedrunning communities, but i watched a ton of speedrunning videos and they said speedrun the game you enjoy playing most so i decided on this one.

on a scale of 1 to 10, how beginner friendly is this game?

I haven't really been in any speed game community's, but this game used to be more popular than portal (over 120) in active players and immediately went down to 40. What happened? Do people really lose interest in speed games that fast? I assume that this is partly because the game is taking long to develop, but I'm not sure.

(Note: I am not asking anybody to implement any features, I simply made this post to create a "What if" scenario that would be interesting to think about) I know we already have sideways crouch hopping, and that's cool and all, but it still has a cap on its speed, meaning you can't really go too fast. Imagine the infinite possibilities with infinite speed. You can fling yourself off of anything, which is sure to be extremely useful at many points. You can also get to any place you want in an instant, not even mentioning the fact that you could probably clip through walls to if you had enough speed. I don't know why I made this forum post, I just thought it was really interesting and I wanted to share it.

My friend plays Half Blox 2 and was recently toying around with the train when he was spinning his mouse at the back of the train and clipped to the behind the train and got flinged into the second map immediately. From what i've heard, he only got this to happen on his, like 26th try. I just wanted to know if anyone already knows about this glitch because it might have potential for WR, but does have a slight RNG factor to it.

I'm not saying that I want to become a verifier on this game, I just know that there is a difference between mod and verifier, and I want to know the general steps to become a verifier in a speed game.
