I agree with the two posts above me.

I honestly don't see the point for 11 Characters at all. I never got 7, but then again people wanted a short category and everyone seemed to like it, so I went with that.

The logic in 7 chars was to kinda keep the Vanilla flair - run WOTL characters in Rebirth.

I expected 11 Characters to follow the same logic - run Rebirth characters in Afterbirth.

Excluding Keeper and Lost from 11 Chars seems to be the same excuse people had to run 10 Chars in Rebirth, because they don't want to lose a run to the lost? Idk, maybe you guys just wanna be able to claiim 3 WRs instead of two. But following the logic from Rebirth, 11 chars really should be everything sans Lilith and Keeper.

But as with 7 Chars it's really for people to decide what the category is gonna look like. Whatever peoplke want to run will be a category, so yeah.

Great to see Isaac made it in :) Can't wait to run the game at ESA <3 As for my estimate, a while ago I stated in the first cuts thread my estimate for 4 characters was 1:45. That pretty much includes everything going wrong that could possibly go wrong though, I'll probably be finished after 1:30. I just thought I'd mention it again.

I have a couple of question though because my schedule for the ESA weekend has changed a little.

I'm currently competing in an Isaac Rebirth tournament going on on twitch. Chances are the tournament will still be running in the week of ESA. Tournament days are Fridays and Saturdays, now I'm concerned about how good our internet connection at ESA will be to play my matches from there. I'm mainly asking because I'll need to know how long I'll be able to stay in Sweden as I'll have to schedule around both ESA and the tournament now. It was originally planned to run from mid-april towards the end of may, but everything has been delayed by a fair bit, so yeah..

I got a new WR for 7 Character Isaac Rebirth speedruns a few days ago, my time is down to 1:37:59

more importantly, my runs have been very solid lately, since a serious shot at WR times during the marathon is pretty much out of the picture anyway. point is, i've been getting pretty consistent sub 20s with most characters, which would be my hope for the marathon.

my estimate for the 4 character run you guys suggested would be around 1:45, even though i'll ¤probably¤ go sub 1:30. but, y'know, rng based games...

Racing 3 or 4 characters for Rebirth sounds like a fine compromise. I thought 7 or even 10 might be too long actually but didn't know how to go about it. Really like the race idea, I'm game.

I spoke to Shigan and we pretty much agreed to keep The Lost out of the donation rotation though. Idk how familiar you guys are with the game, but... it's horrible. Don't make us do it. Like, I'd be willing to offer it as a donation incentive for after the run as a bonus, but during the race... There's so much that can go wrong.
