Sorry for being inactive. The changes are welcome. Thank you! Obrigado :D
@gchierico91 The old link doesn't seem to work anymore: http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/games/knd/stat/ However, this one does: https://www.cartoonnetwork.com.au/game/codename-kids-next-door-oeration-stat
I'd like to hear from the others as well.
I use WSplit while running solely to check my pace. For accurate timing, I use a video editor to add a timer overlay. (e.g. youtube video ID "yCu4EdUSsCs")
I tried to mess with auto-splitting, but couldn't get my head around it. :/
This specific link allowed me to play with no ads whatsoever: https://www.coolmath-games.com/0-arcade-golf-neon Note: I'm using Chrome with some element-blocking extensions.
Can anyone confirm if this is really the same game? https://h5.4j.com/games/Ballz-Online/index.html?pubid=7DQVUYVL&v=1496357050
Suggestion: there should be 5 categories
- Normal Any% (this is the current "normal" category)
- Normal 100%
- Endurance Any%
- Endurance 100%
- Sudden Death
(100% meaning you can't lose any lives)
Four Second Frenzy already existed in 2006, as seen in the comment timestamps here: http://jmtb02.deviantart.com/art/Four-Second-Frenzy-36890053
Camtasia for recording and editing. For timing, either LiveSplit or WSplit.
I always edit the video to add another track/layer showing the timer, for better accuracy.

Sorry, didn't see your post previously. Yes, I realized that S4M stated he didn't time his run perfectly, so I figured it wouldn't be right to beat him by 20ms when HE in fact is the one 90ms ahead.
I know it may sound obvious... but I think the rules should clearly state that a video with audible original sound effects is required (to avoid cheating).
Hey ZertYoup. I have recorded runs for Rocket Silo and Moon Temple (both Normal difficulty).
Do you plan on adding the other levels / categories? Here is my suggestion: --- http://imgur.com/cKd2SKk (some typos there... oops)
EDIT: youtube video id for the RS run is gL0iOqA1RR0 and for the MT run is m_jCz4uEdQk
Resubmitting now. Once again, let me know if you need help moderating/verifying!
I understood when you said about putting it into Miscellaneous. I agree 100%. Thanks for clarifying the "TAS" aspect. I'll watch more carefully how I label things. :)
Back to the topic, I'm curious: is there a recommended/usual way you guys use to verify if a run used macros or not?
@PackSciences [1] I'm on level 69 now. Will try to finish a proper run ASAP. Although, I feel tool-assisted runs in this case should probably consider just the sum of IGTs. [2] I had such feeling, but as I've not been much into speedrunning before, can you elaborate on that "imminent denial"?
I'm new to the whole speedrunning thing, so... Are you guys ok with some kind of tool-assisted category here, or should I go for tasvideos.org instead?
Also, how do you guys plan on verifying if a run is tool-assisted or not for this game?
Not sure if I'll be able to finish this before next weekend, but here's my work in progress. (this video shows the TIMINGS ONLY - I'll upload a proper "run" when I get 100%)
In the name of science, I've managed to successfully use a macro tool to test the (supposedly) fastest time possible for each level. :D I got up to lvl49 so far. I have to leave now, but will share my timings within the next days.
I got "ZQIHM-32250-F5V54". Looks interesting! Thanks!
Since we're dealing with a heavily RNG-based game, I guess some categories need at least more tolerant goals. I've just tried to get 10 crates in Level 1, normal difficulty, without killing any enemies. I couldn't get past 7, it's incredibly hard!
[OFF] Thanks for verifying my run, ZertYoup. And I think the previous runs can be retimed to match the correct frames (like I matched mine). I'd be glad if I could become a mod as well to help put everything in order. :)
